Before she could speak, Belinda said, “If you find it too upsetting, | can talk to your parents and call it off. Then,
I'll see about finding you another husband.”

“Enough. | have other things to do,” Belinda said before hanging up.
Belinda had chosen Elise because the Quinlan family had a simple background and seemed easy to control. She
never expected Elise to be so childish and unreasonable.
