...Yes, Mr. Lodge.” Emily started the car and drove toward Ariana’s apartment.
When they arrived at the apartment, Brian stood at the entrance but hesitated to go in. It was already past
midnight. What if Ariana was already asleep?

When they reached Arlana’s floor, Brian stood outside her door and hesitated before finally knocking.
There was no response.
Brian's frown deepened and he knocked again. But there was still no answer.
Sensing something was wrong, Brian took out a key and unlocked the door.
The apartment was empty. He searched the bedroom but still couldn’t find any trace of Ariana.
Brian's expression darkened.
“Mr. Lodge...” Emily cautiously called out.
