not affect me,” David replied calmly.

so it won’t be a loveless marriage. Celia will never be able to bear your children. Has it been your plan all along to

Selena wanted to say more when David interrupted her, “ Alright, enough of this. Celia’s come down, so go chat
with her instead. I’m fine here by myself. Celia’s an innocent girl and she truly likes you. I know you approached her

“Don’t worry. I like Celia too, I would’ve treated her genuinely even if you didn’t ask me to,” Selena replied sincerely.
“Good. Rest assured , I recognize the contributions the King family has given to Somerland . I will not stand by and
watch should you need my help.”
“Thank you!”
Selena glanced at David once more before turning to leave the kitchen.
David continued to busy himself and a table full of
flavorful dishes was complete.
The three of them chatted and ate away happily, and any signs of the discourse in the kitchen vanished.
