"Ah!" All of a sudden, Caroline was startled, and her eyes nearly popped out of her head. She patted her chest and took two strides back.

Where did he cfrom? As he played with the cell phone in his hand, Nicholas once again averted his eyes towards her. What a fussy little girl! He thought.

The long chalk- white dress that she was in matched her fair and round face. Besides that, her snow-white skin and ruddy cheeks made it seem like she was tender and cute. At that moment, Caroline was restlessly fiddling her little hands. It felt as if she was a girl that hadn't grown up yet! "Why are you following me?" As he repeated his words, Nicholas couldn't help but sized her up from head to toe. Shortly, he chuckled and said, "Oh, are you searching for your brother again?" She pursed her lips and lowered her head. Right then, Caroline's face was gradually flushed. She would have used that sexcuse again if Nicholas had said it a second later! Caroline puffed out her cheeks and shook her head continuously.

Nicholas was delighted by her cute awkwardness, it was like seeing Alicia back in her schooling days when she forgot to bring a tampon and stained her skirt. Right then, I also realized that I haven't taken you to a hot spring before. The hot spring in this hotel is noted for its 'female hot spring pool'. As she was in his arms, the ambience around them was wonderful. No matter how painful it was, she still had to wear her heels. She didn't want to humiliate Frederick, especially on this occasion! The both of them continued with their conversation as they walked towards the door on the other side of the hall.

Moments later, the soreness on Alicia's feet had eased. She looked up and noticed a trace of sweat dripping from Frederick's forehead. Right then, Alicia extended her hand and wiped it off his forehead. "Hubby, are you tired? My feet are fine now, you can putdown and letwalk for a while!" He stopped for a moment and gazed at Alicia whom he held in his arms. She was his beloved treasure that he wouldn't dare to let go off. With a smile on his face, Frederick said, "We're almost there. I can still bear with it!" As he lifted his legs, his pace gradually becslower. "I really ought to step up my exercises in the future. I wouldn't last another second if I had to carry another person!" Even if Alicia was pregnant someday, he still wanted to carry her like that whenever she was tired. Deep down, it was the sweetest burden he could ever ask for! Before Alicia appeared in his life, Frederick simply worked hard just to pass the time. Yet now, his purpose of working hard was to provide her the best protection and whatever she wanted in life! "Hubby, you can do this! You're the best!" As they were frolicking with each other, a loud noise suddenly burst out of nowhere. Looking up, they e saw speople bolting out of the entrance to the hall. Besides that, there e a lot of people gathered the east corridor of the hotel as well.

"What's all this fuss about?" As soon as Alicia spoke, Frederick slowly put her down and tidied her clothes. "It's getting late, I guess it's either robbery or catching a cheater in bed." What else could attract so many passers-by? Subconsciously, Frederick was more inclined to the latter! For sreason, Alicia had to agree. All of a sudden, her eyes began to glow. "Hubby, let's go take a look. Perhaps it's just another wedding!" At that moment, Alicia's curiosity was piqued. She immediately took his hand and headed towards the direction of the commotion.

"I doubt it's anything interesting! Let's not involve ourselves in such a matter!" Frederick wrapped his arms around her and patted her shoulder comfortingly. Anything could happen in a crowded place, he simply couldn't bear the thought of Alicia getting hurt.

All of a sudden, an unsettling thought of being caught red-handed in bed in the past flashed across Alicia's mind. Disturbed by the thought, she quickly nodded her head and said, "In that case, let's go to the hot spring instead!" As they were talking, they headed

towards the door. As soon as their feet landed on the first step of the stairs, the crowd of peoplec om immediately swarmed over to them like a nest of bees, blocking half the entrance. At the stthey heard a familiar cry. "Mom, I'm your daughter! Why are you doing this?" Coincidentally, the both of them cto a stop at the stime. They fixed their eyes on each other before turning around. In that instant, Alicia was stunned, Was it Danica? For a moment, Frederick was lost in thought. Was that them?

Holding Alicia in his arms, Frederick turned around and pushed her inside m while still maintaining@distance between them. Concurrently, he was still shielding her from the crowd and backing down from the stairs at the stime. In the center of the crowd, Kieran grabbed Mrs.
