Betrayal At The Altar

Chapter 434

Rachel’s lips were slightly red and swollen from the kiss. She was breathing very fast as she leaned into his arms. All

she could see was her wrinkled blouse.

David kissed her forehead. Then, he bent down and swept Rachel off her feet before getting into his car.

In the car, Rachel leaned on David’s shoulder.

She allowed David to take her hand, stretched her palm open, and interlocked his fingers with hers.

David wrapped his other arm around Rachel’s waist and pulled her into his arms.

Sitting in his embrace, Rachel looked up at the man in front of her.

His dark eyes were deep, like a black abyss. Tenderness was brimming from the depths of his eyes. One could not

help but be lost in his irresistible

gaze.

“No matter what happens, I will be here for you.” David’s deep and attractive voice was music to Rachel’s ears.

He brushed his slightly cold fingers across her eyebrows. It was as though he could reach into her heart and send it

electrifying throbs.

Rachel stared at David for a while and suddenly smiled. “When I want you, I will not hold back.”

With that, she leaned forward and kissed his lips.

The car finally arrived at Sandalwood Hills.

David carried Rachel in his arms and quickly got out of the car.

Rachel walked out of the bathroom. She wiped her hair and walked to the computer.

She opened her email with the surveillance camera footage sent by Lucas. She watched it over and over again.

She needed to find any clues she could from the video. She could not afford to leave out any details.

With the Johnson family’s influence in Seaxas, it would be easy for them to find

anyone.

However, the Johnson family still had nothing on the person who took Sophia’s ashes. This meant that the person

had far more power than the Johnson family.

At this moment, the bedroom door was pushed open, and David walked in.

“You’re still awake?” Rachel looked at him in surprise.

The lights in the bedroom were off. The faint light from the computer screen made Rachel’s fair face look

especially pale and haggard.

David frowned slightly and said calmly, “You should sleep.”

His tone was calm, but the words sounded like an order the moment they left his lips. It was seductive and hard to

resist.

Rachel was about to protest when David carried her up like a princess.

Suddenly lifted off the chair, Rachel subconsciously reached out her arm and h**ked it around David’s neck. “What

are you doing?”

“You burned yourself?” David asked in his deep and cold voice.

Rachel followed his gaze to the red mark on her leg. “I was careless with the kettle and accidentally scalded myself

while pouring water”

David pursed his lips and stared at Rachel broodingly.

Although he did not say anything, Rachel could sense his displeasure.

David put her on the bed and got up to fetch the first aid kit.

He knelt on one knee and cupped her slender ankles with his broad hands. He then applied the ointment to the

burn wound on her calf carefully. His movements were gentle and cautious.

Her fair skin made the burns look hideous and appalling.

As though a piece of white silk was dyed accidentally with an unsightly patch of red.

But Rachel did not think much of it. She just stared quietly at the person in front. of her.

With his eyes lowered, David’s eyebrows looked as exquisite as a painting.

His expressions were serious and pious, as if he was holding a rare and fragile

treasure.

The corners of Rachel’s lips curled up involuntarily. Her eyes were sparkling.

She did not realize what a blissful feeling it was to be pampered and loved by

someone.

“This ointment can smooth out scars. Remember to apply the ointment on time every day. David took out a white

round bottle from the medicine box and handed it to her.

Before Rachel could take the bottle from him, David suddenly retracted his hand. “Forget it, leave this to me.”
