He couldn't bear to imagine what would have happened if something had really gone wrong with Nina. The very thought sent chills down Nash's spine.

His heart was racing, and Nina, sensing his worry, felt her earlier frustration fade, replaced by forgiveness.

She reached out, hugging Nash and softly reassured him, "I'm fine. You know my skills. No ordinary person can trap me." "I was really scared, honey. From now on, no matter how busy I am, I promise I won't leave your side," Nash vowed, holding her tightly.

"Look, I'm okay now, aren't I?" Nina noticed the worry still etched on his face and playfully pouted. "I'm hungry. I barely ate any of that Royal Feast earlier. Everyone was too busy talking and taking pictures. Since they weren't eating, I didn't either." In truth, she had eaten well enough, but Nina wanted to distract Nash from what had happened. After all, it was over now, and dwelling on it wouldn't change anything.

Nash picked her up and started heading out. "Let's go get you a real meal. What do you feel like eating?" "I haven't decided yet." Nina buried her head against his chest, giggling.

When Nash finally put her down, he gave her a long, passionate kiss.

At a fiery Cajun boil, Nash looked at the bubbling, spicy pot in front of him with a nervous smile. He could handle almost anything for her, but the truth was, the spice was overwhelming.

Nina teased, "If you can't handle it, we can go somewhere else." "No need, this is fine," Nash insisted, trying to stay tough. He picked up a piece of shrimp, took a small bite, and immediately his face turned bright red from the Cajun seasoning.

"It's not bad. Try this sausage," Nina said, ignoring his protests as she dropped another spicy bite onto his plate. She giggled, watching his reaction. "Con, Mr. York, you're not going to refuse, are you?" Nash forced a smile despite the burning sensation in his mouth and swallowed the bite. It felt like swallowing fire. Before he could recover, Nina kept piling more spicy food onto his plate-crawfish, corn, potatoes. The heat kept building until Nash finally threw in the towel.

"I surrender! Let's go get something else to eat," he pleaded.

"How about ice cream?" Nina suggested with a mischievous grin.

Nash groaned in mock agony but suddenly thought of something. After downing a large glass of water, he cupped Nina's face and sincerely apologized, "I'm sorry, honey. I shouldn't have ignored your calls, and shouldn't have convinced you to go to the sports day when I knew you didn't want to. That was my fault, and you didn't deserve that." Nina wasn't ready to let him off that easily. "Oh, is that enough? Either drink this spicy broth or takeout for ice cream." She was genuinely hurt. She kept telling herself to let it go, that what happened was in the past, and not to hold it against Nash. But the more she thought about it, the more upset she became. Nash only rushed back after finding out what happened to her, and it was mostly because of the pressure from Pharaoh. It wasn't because he had left her behind and wanted to make amends. That was why she chose the spicy Cajun boil. She wanted to make him suffer a bit, just like she had.

Nash understood that Nina was upset, but there was no way he could stomach more of the spicy Cajun boil. Ice cream was the only option left.

If it upset his stomach, so be it. Ice cream was still better than the fiery spices.

After finishing an entire ice cream,

without waiting for Nina to ask, Nash immediately drove to the hospital The moment they arrived, the doctor, who had been waiting at the entrance, rushed him intothe emergency room.

"Nina, are you trying to kill him? If something serious happens, you'll be the one dealing with theconsequences. This is just reckless!" The doctor scolded Nina for her part in the situation.

But just then, a nurse hurried out of the emergency room. "Dr. Carter, Mr. York said it's not his wife's fault. He insisted on eating all that spicy food and ice cream." Dr. Carter sighed. "Spoiling your wife is one thing, but this is over the top. I don't know what to do with you two."
