Stella relished the rare peace until her phone buzzed again. It was about Alan stirring the pot and getting speople involved

with Anna.

A smile played at the corners of Stella's mouth. She had been planning to deal with Anna herself, but now with Alan jumping in,

things were getting interesting. She mused that the pair were likely heading towards their own downfall.

"Alright, got it. Keep an eye on them, let's see when they decide to dig their own graves."

No sooner had she ended the call than she spun around to find Beck standing silently behind her, giving her quite the scare. She

quickly ran through the conversation in her head, making sure she hadn't mentioned Maja's name.

Assured she hadn't, Stella let out a sigh of relief.

"Beck, you've got to make snoise when you walk."

Beck's gaze swept over her, sensing she was hiding something, but he didn't press the issue.

"Something up?" Stella asked.

"I'll be out today and tomorrow, checking on somepany stuff with my brother. If you need anything, just let the staff know.

Anything you need, they'll take care of it."

A pang shot through Stella's heart, spreading like poison. Yet, she quickly masked it with a smile.

"Got it, thanks."

Her smile was genuine, dazzling Beck momentarily.

He paused. "That's a good look on you. You should smile more."

Stella remained silent, thinking, just wait till you know the truth. Hopefully, you won't explode in anger.

Later, she admired the flowers blooming outside, envying their carefree existence, before dozing off on the couch. Lately,

nightmares plagued her sleep, only easing when Beck was around. She knew relying on Beck was dangerous, especially given her

plans. She quickly squashed any dependent feelings, refusing to let anything jeopardize her plans.

Meanwhile, Anna's goons found out Maja had a son, which shocked Anna. She couldn't believe the young-looking woman was a

mother.

Excitement filled Anna at the thought of breaking Maja by harming her child. "So, it's true. We saw her at the mall today with her

son. He's quite the looker."

Anna's mood darkened. "Enough hesitation. Let's do it today. Snatch her son, but be discreet. We know the mall security's tight.

Just be careful."

Her men nodded and moved out.

Maja, holding her son Craig, was blissfully unaware of the danger. Her guard down due to her peaceful life, she was shocked when

suddenly ambushed.

"What do you want?!" she exclaimed, panic setting in as they took Craig and tried to flee.

Maja's attempts to chase were futile against the men's speed. Frustrated and sweating, she immediately called lan and Beck for

help.

Beck and his brother Dylan were inspecting a branch office when they got the call. They immediately ended the inspection,

mobilizing everyone to respond.

Dylan made a call, greeted by a slow, clear voice. "Brother."

Dylan inhaled deeply. "Have you been following Maja?"

"Yes."

"Did you see someone take her child?"

"l did."

Dylan rubbed his forehead in frustration. "Why didn't you do something?!"

"Because Maja didn't call me."
