Chapter 546 Heartbroken

Later in the evening, Vincent came downstairs after finishing helping Alex with a medical bath. He informed Aletta,

“Mr. Alex is still in a coma.”

Aletta nodded, as this was expected.

She went upstairs and gave Alex another injection. Afterwards, she provided instructions for the medication and

some matters that needed attention.

Once settled, Aletta couldn’t help but succumb to her curiosity. She asked Vincent, “By the way, regarding the lady

who brought us water earlier, why she is still here? Wasn’t she a spy from the elders? Now that everything is over,

isn’t it dangerous to keep her around?”

Vincent hesitated for a moment before telling Aletta, “This is complicated… Originally, we were indeed going to get

rid of her after this. However, I found out some information that suggests Willow played a role in last night’s smooth

operation against the elders… She provided false information to the elders, causing them to underestimate us. That

led to their relaxation and ultimately facilitated our success.”

Upon hearing this, Aletta was somewhat surprised. “So, Willow switched sides at the last minute?”

Vincent’s expression became complicated. “Yes! She was indeed working for the elders initially, but later on, it

seemed to be a matter of self–preservation! The details are unclear…

Anyway, when we returned last night, we saw her and she requested Mr. Alex to keep her, saying she had nowhere

else to go. Mr. Alex wasn’t feeling well at the time, so he didn’t handle it immediately. We’ll make arrangements

when he wakes up…”

Adding to that, Vincent added, “However, based on Mr Alex’s temperament, if he doesn’t kill her, he most likely

won’t keep her either.”

Aletta agreed. Indeed!

Alex was cautious by nature and not easily trusting of people. It was highly unlikely for him to spare someone who

had posed a threat to him.

But ultimately, it was the Black family’s matter.

Alex could even deal with the elders from the Black family. It was unlikely that he would turn soften because of a

single person.

Aletta nodded and said to Vincent, “All right, keep a close eye on her until he wakes up. After this, let Alex’s body

recover gradually. There’s no need for further treatment; the medicine I prescribed should nourish him internally

and help him recuperate.”

She gave Vincent some instructions and then added, “We should return to France in a few days after Carla’s health

improves! Things are chaotic in the Black family during this period, and we shouldn’t meddle any further!”

Vincent nodded. “Okay. Miss Aletta, you’ve really been through a lot while still not fully recovered. Please take good

care of yourself and I hope you recover soon.”

Seeing Vincent, who seemed like a completely different person, Aletta couldn’t help but laugh. “Why are you being

so formal? I’ll take good care of myself.”

After finishing her conversation with Vincent, Aletta left with

Jason.

On the way, she instinctively leaned against Jason’s body.

Jason, as usual, embraced her and kissed her as he said, “Finally, you can rest!”

Aletta leaned her head against his shoulder and rubbed it gently. “Hmm, let’s rest and save you from feeling

distressed.”

Jason nodded in agreement. “Yes, I’m already feeling so distressed.”

Aletta smiled and pursed her lips, feeling particularly sweet in her heart. She asked, “Shall we return to France in a

couple of days?”

There were matters to attend to in France as well.

During this period, she often saw him holding his laptop and participating in online meetings with people in France.

She understood his hardships and the difficulties he faced.

Her own health had improved, so there was no point to waste any more time here.

Besides, she missed their children at home.

Jason’s gaze darkened as he thought of Jenny.

“Yes, it’s time to go back and deal with some matters!”

In the next two days, Aletta would visit the research institute every day.

Carla would wake up each day, and the duration of her lucidity was increasing.

Aletta was aware that it was a promising sign of recovery.

Once Carla’s condition was stabilized, she entrusted her to the team.

On the noon of the third day, Aletta and Jason returned to France.

It was morning when they disembarked from the plane.

After leaving the airport, Jason asked Aletta softly, “Are you tired? I’ll take you to Hill Villa to rest first. We can go

and pick up the children after this.”

“Okay,” Aletta agreed without any objections.

But plans couldn’t keep up with the changes.

On their way back to the city, Eaton received a message.

“Mr. Hill, Mr. Jay has hired a lawyer and is currently at home discussing a divorce.”

As he said this, Eaton glanced at Jason’s expression and added, “It seems to be because of the DNA incident with

the children, which angered Mr. Jay…”

:

Jason’s face immediately darkened.

He thought he could take some rest before handling the matter, but it seemed like there was no moment to catch

his

breath!

Aletta’s expression turned sour too upon hearing the news.

In that instant, she changed her mind and said to Jason, “I‘|| go with you.”

Seeing her determined gaze, Jason dismissed the idea of persuading her to rest first.

He nodded and instructed Eaton, “Change the route to the Old Mansion.”

In the Old Mansion.

Inside the hall, Jenny was yelling, and her words were filled with agitation. “I won’t sign it! Jay, why are you treating

me like this?”

Jenny was truly infuriated!

She had been working for the Hill Family, but none of these people understood her intentions!

Facing her husband, who wanted to divorce her, Jenny felt extremely wronged.

In contrast to the somewhat hysterical Jenny, Jay’s expression remained calm.

In a low voice, he said, “I’m doing this for the peace of the family. Jenny, we’ve been married for so many years,

and I’ve given you chances. But you have repeatedly disrupted the order of our family. I can’t tolerate your

continued

recklessness.”

Besides the couple, there were others in the hall.

Apart from the lawyer, there were Old Mr. Hill and Mr. Bates!

After Jay finished speaking, he turned to Mr. Bates and said, “Mr. Bates, I have made up my mind, and I hope you

won’t hinder me.”

Mr. Bates exuded an imposing aura, he maintained a straight posture that radiated an unwavering resolve even

while seated.

Upon hearing these words, he remained silent, his brows furrowed as he gazed at Jenny.

Old Mr. Hill had grown tired of getting involved.

He had long been thoroughly disappointed in Jenny and had reached a point where he couldn’t even bear to look at

her.

Jenny was furious. She knew she hadn’t done anything wrong

As she looked at Mr. Bates, she couldn’t help but exclaim, “You have to believe me! This DNA test report is genuine;

I had it done two days ago! The children aren’t Jason’s…”

Her voice reverberated loudly in the hall, even reaching outside.

At the entrance, Jason and Aletta had just arrived and

A surge of anger welled up in Aletta, and her gaze turned as icy as frozen steel.
