Chapter 466

“Alright, let’s go back first.”

Briana got into the driver’s seat and drove back to Elm Bay.

Maxim made a call to the butler of the Yoder’s house, asking him to arrange som eone to take care of Kendra at the hospital, then closed his eyes to rest.

Soon, Briana heard the steady breathing coming from the co–pilot.

When the car stopped at the traffic light intersection, Briana turned her head an d glanced at him.

Even in his sleep, his brow remained furrowed.

Recently, too many things had happened, his nerves must have been on edge al l the time.

A wave of heartache welled up in Briana involuntarily, and she reached out, wanting to smooth his furrowed brow.

Just as the porridge was done cooking, she heard the sound of a car engine star ting outside.

Briana’s face changed, and she immediately walked out quickly, only to see Ma xim’s car tail disappearing from her sight.

She immediately dialed Maxim’s number, but he never answered.

Briana furrowed her brow, a vague sense of foreboding in her heart, and immedi ately drove to catch up with Maxim.

However, Maxim’s speed was very fast, and before long, Briana was left far behi nd.

Watching his car disappear from her sight, Briana immediately had someone ch eck Isaac’s current location.

Soon, the news came.

Isaac was holding a press conference, openly stating that his parents were kille d by Maxim’s parents, and hoping that the police would reinvestigate the car accident from six years ago.

Send me the address immediately!

Upon receiving the address from the other party, Briana immediately drove to t he press conference venue.

It was clearly a trap set by Isaac. If Maxim had gone, he would have fallen into h is snare.

However, Briana was still a step too late. When she arrived at the scene, she jus t happened to see Maxim hitting Isaac.

Her face fell, she quickly stepped forward trying to grab Maxim, but was pushe d away by Maxim, almost stumbling and falling..

Having finally steadied myself, I saw that all the reporters present were holding up their cameras and shooting rapidly, excitement written all over their faces.

Briana gritted her teeth, coldly saying, “Maxim, if you lay a hand again, we’re do ne!”

Maxim’s raised fist froze mid– air, he turned back to give Briana a cold glance, “Even you are pushing me?”

Briana looked at him expressionlessly, “I’m not forcing you, I just hope you can c alm down.”

As her words fell, the scene plunged into silence.

Lying on the ground with a bruised face, Isaac suddenly burst into laughter. He s poke in a mocking tone, “Maxim, if you have the guts, kill me. Otherwise, I will d efinitely destroy your family and seek justice for my parents!”

Maxim’s jaw was clenched tight, fury raging in his eyes. Everyone present could f eel the oppressive aura he was emitting, making it almost impossible to breath e.

Briana gave Isaac a cold glance. Not to mention Maxim, even she wanted to ste p forward and kick Isaac a couple of times.

In the end, Maxim let go of Isaac.

He turned around with a cold face and brushed past Briana, not even glancing a t her as he left directly.

Briana knew he was angry at her for stopping him, and quickly followed him

Isaac stood up with a smile, straightening his disheveled shirt, a coldness in his eyes.

This matter wouldn’t end so easily!

Maxim walked very fast. By the time Briana arrived at the garage, he had alread y driven away.

Briana hesitated for a few seconds, but didn’t chase after him. Instead, she had someone keep a n eye on Isaac, instructing them to inform her immediately if he met with Maxim.

She had also tossed and turned all night without sleep last night, and now she just felt her te mples throbbing.
