Chapter 233 Don’t Shoot
Hearing the voice, the man finally stopped. He put Evelyn down from his arms, but he didn’t let go of
her. Instead, he wrapped his arms around her shoulders toughly and turned his head to see which blind
person dares to ruin his good deeds. Unexpectedly, he saw Bert standing on the deck not far away with
an unknown expression.

Bert had been making this woman drink all night as if he didn’t care about her at all. That was why he
thought this woman was just a tool for him. But now…
For the first time, Evelyn‘ felt like she couldn’t wait to see Bert. Compared to the man beside her, Bert

“I told you to let go of her. Do you hear me?” In the night, the yacht just stopped on the sea.

Evelyn stood rooted to the spot and watched as the man fell to the ground. The bullet passed through
his blood bone. Even though the sound had died down, she still heard the “click” sound, and she could
even feel the power of a bullet piercing through the wind.
She was almost hit.
“You’re so bold.” The shooter didn’t move and quickly pressed the second shot. It seemed that the
muzzle was not aimed at a person but at a target. “Which part of your body still touched her?”
“No more, Mr. Harper, really no more!” The man’s arrogance was gone, only fear remained. “I was
wrong. I didn’t know she was your’s. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have dared to do that!”
“You don’t know?” Hearing this answer, Bert seemed to smile as if he had heard a very funny answer.
Soon, the smile disappeared. He decisively raised his arm and pointed the gun at the man’s head!
Evelyn was shocked and reacted faster than her mind. The moment he was about to pull the trigger,
she took a step forward and stood in front of him.
“Don’t shoot!” She spread out her arms in a protective posture.

Bert narrowed his eyes and immediately loosened his index finger he had just used some strength. His
palms were covered with a layer of sweat. “Get out!”
Behind her, the man knelt on the ground and hugged Evelyn’s ankle as if he had found a protector.
“Please save me. I don’t want to die. He will kill me. He will really…”

Evelyn turned around and glared at him. “Take your dirty hand away!”

For a moment, the air on the yacht seemed to freeze, and there was nothing in front of Evelyn. She
closed her eyes and imagined the pain and burning of the bullet through her stomach.
However, nothing happened. A few seconds later, her wrist was grabbed and she was dragged forward
by a huge force.
When she opened her eyes and saw the straight back of Bert, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Her nerves relaxed, and a sense of panic and fear swept over her. Looking at the seemingly endless
deck passage in front of her, tears fell uncontrollably from her eyes.
Bert dragged her to the railing at the end of the deck. One step away from her was the surging sea.
Evelyn felt a little dizzy and forced herself to look away.
