Chapter 1448 Only I Can See It

"No, I'll be upset if you delay me," Marcellus said, waving his hand. "Hurry up and leave."

The two of them could see that he was not planning to introduce them formally, so they were a bit puzzled. They

exchanged glances, and the taller one among them spoke, "Strange, always showing off your affection on social

media but not letting us see it in person."

"Next time." Marcellus became even more impatient. "Hurry up and leave, don't bother us."

Seeing his firm attitude, the group didn't insist further and teased for a bit before leaving the private room.

In an instant, the noisy room immediately returned to tranquility. After closing the door, he released his hand from

supporting her head and muttered under his breath, "These guys are so annoying."

Beryl raised her hand to fix her hair on top of her head, feeling a bit bewildered. "Why were you pressing my

head?"

Didn't he want to introduce her to his friends?

Or did he think she didn't look appropriate in her current appearance?

Marcellus paused with the utensils in his hand and then placed them back down. His narrow eyes gazed at her,

revealing a deep and heart-racing expression. "Why are you thinking about all sorts of random reasons?"

Beryl looked back at him, feeling a bit indignant. "Aren't they true? You were pressing my head with your hand."

"Your face was turning red just now. Can I let others see?"

"Huh?" Beryl almost didn't react. How did it become about her...

However, he shamelessly said, "Only I can see how my woman's face turns red. No one else is allowed to even think

about it."

Beryl was speechless.

She suddenly understood why he had been acting strangely just now. She could understand that when couples were

in love, they would involuntarily care about each other.

But possessing someone to this extent was rare.

"Isn't that a bit too much..." She muttered.

"Of course not. Why should I let them see? They are so insensitive. Is it easy for me to make an appointment? I

don't have time for them."

Beryl didn't quite understand the friendship between men and couldn't help but sigh, "You still have friends with this

kind of possessive behavior."

If it were a girl, this kind of behavior, placing romance above friendship, would probably become a topic of gossip.

Marcellus heard this and suddenly became enthusiastic. "Well, besides you in Jewel City, who wouldn't want to be

friends with me, Marcellus?"

"All right." Beryl couldn't stand his narcissistic demeanor any longer. "I know you're amazing, but even if you're

amazing, you still need to eat, right?"

Saying that she picked up a piece of fish and put it on his plate to stop him from talking.

Marcellus stopped talking and happily enjoyed the fish from his girlfriend.

After finishing their meal, it was still six o'clock. Beryl had told her family that she would be home by seven, so there

was still an hour left.

"I'll go to my aunt's place today, not the hospital."

Marcellus raised an eyebrow, "Oh, your aunt."

Although his tone was very flat, she could still sense a hint of disdain. She couldn't help but look at the person

beside her. "Don't you like my aunt?"

"It's okay. I don't feel anything."

"Clearly, you don't like her."

Marcellus smiled, "A bit tacky, but since she's your relative, I won't say much."

"Can you tell from just one meeting?" Beryl was a bit surprised. After all, they had only met once, or rather,

encountered each other outside the emergency room.

He could remember her aunt was already quite impressive. To be able to discern her habits from that one meeting

was quite commendable.
