When Raymond heard the bell of the gate ring, he frowned.
It was raining outside, and the filming had been suspended. None of Daisy's subordinates would be so insensible as to visit them at this point in time.
Raymond believed that the visitor was probably a member of the camera crew of Alexander's company. He put the food which were done on a plate, handed it to Scarlett, rose to his feet and answered the door.

Brenden was surprised at the sight of Raymond. Before he came here, his superior had emphasized repeatedly this villa had been shut down specially for Alexander's friend. Alexander had agreed to let them use this villa as a setting during their intensive filming session solely because they worked for the Slooworld Corporation. In no circumstance should they disturb Alexander's friend during the filming.
Considering Alexander's social status in Juanton City, his friend was definitely no common person.
Brenden had not given it much thought, but it had never occurred to him that the friend of Alexander's was Raymond Raymond's name was known to the whole city.
Brenden wondered how Lola had offended Raymond.
But Brenden was from a prestigious family as well, and he had had dealings with celebrities and dignitaries, so he soon subdued his amazement and hurriedly cast Raymond an obsequious smile. "Mr. Shaw, I'm so sorry to disturb you. | heard one of our cast members seemed to have caused disturbance to you out there just now, so | took her here to apologize to you." Brenden had hardly finished speaking when Scarlett walked to Raymond's side.
At the sight of Scarlett, Brenden's face became even more awkward.
Brenden, naturally, knew much about the show business. Although a few moments ago, during his phone conversation with the secretary, the latter hadn't told him how Lola disturbed Raymond, Brenden guessed it easily enough.
Lola was an obscure actress, and Raymond was a handsome young man with great wealth and fame. Even a famous B-list actress would be tempted, let alone Lola.
Though not everybody knew Raymond, it had been made clear that he was Alexander's friend, and no ordinary people could be friends with Alexander.
Given that Alexander had shut down the whole villa for this friend of his, if anybody struck up a relationship with the latter, getting resources from Alexander's company would be a piece of cake.

Such things were not uncommon in this industry. Nylah had been so popular and obtained that many resources largely because she had hooked up with a James, and it wasn't even Stephen James. It was just Stephen's cousin, but Nylah had still become someone that hardly anybody in the industry dared mess with. Brenden was a man with earthly needs as well, and he wasn't that cynical.
If Lola really managed to hook up with Raymond, it would be a good thing for their film crew.
But the odds were indeed against her, for Scarlett was also here! And Scarlett was Raymond's wife! The two of them had divorced once, and they had gotten back together not long ago. Raymond had married her twice! Scarlett and Raymond's divorce had caused quite a stir back then, and everybody knew that Mrs. Shaw was no pushover. Also, Raymond had had a hard job getting back with Scarlett.
Brenden felt that Lola's attempt to seduce Raymond in the presence of Scarlett had been tantamount to ruining her own career prospects.
Brenden glanced at Scarlett. His facial expression changed several times in a row.
