With a loud rumble, the two sport cars shot ahead in unison.

Aggy kept accelerating as if she had a death wish.

Scarlett glanced at Raymond sitting beside her. He showed no inclination to overtake Aggy.

This was Scarlett's first tsitting in a car moving so fast. She felt thrilled, but she didn’t say anything lest Raymond be distracted.

Raymond was driving fast as well, following Aggy's car, maintaining a distance of twenty or thirty meters.

Having noticed that Raymond's car was only twenty or thirty meters behind hers, Aggy couldn't help but put on another spurt.

She did not believe that Raymond would admit defeat! However, she still underestimated how much Scarlett meant to Raymond. Merely seconds after picking up speed, Aggy found the car behind her disappearing from view.

Scarlett, watching the car in front of them shrinking into the distance, couldn't help but lift her eyebrows.

After hurtling along the winding mountainous road for almost ten minutes, they reached the first bend.

Raymond always drove at a moderate speed, but this the actually drifted around the bend, which surprised Scarlett.

Aggy was clearly less skilled in cornering than Raymond. After only one bend, she was almost caught up with.

Looking at the narrowing distance between the two cars, Scarlett found her heartbeat quickening.

"Hold on tight, Scarlett." Raymond suddenly spoke, and the car abruptly sped up before Scarlett could react.

The blue sport car rapidly overtook the red one. After they drove around the second bend, Raymond was well ahead of Aggy.

This race was not supposed to be a formal one. An exhibition match was more about flaunting driving techniques. Most spectators didn't take the so-called competition between Raymond and Aggy seriously, so the two of them naturally didn't have to drive to the finishing line.

After finishing half a lap, Raymond drove back.

He had hardly stopped the car when Alexander walked over with a glass of watermelon juice in his hand.

"Awesome. You're really awesome!" Raymond slid him a sideways glance, walked around the car to the passenger seat and pulled the door open for Scarlett.

Everybody in the vicinity noticed his considerate actions and becconvinced of Scarlett's importance to him.

Raymond had just helped Scarlett take off her helmet when Aggy's car returned.

Aggy, believing that her plan worked, was very happy, though having lost the race. She strode over to Scarlett.

"Are you okay, Ms. Reed?" Scarlett blandly glanced at her and then lifted her head to look at Raymond. "I feel a bit dizzy." "Do you feel nauseous?" Raymond looked down at her, his face etched with manifest apprehension.

Alexander felt goosebumps rising up his arms, and even the watermelon juice in his hand seemed to bectasteless.

Scarlett nodded. "My legs feel a bit limp." With that she leaned limply against Raymond.

Raymond tossed his helmet to Alexander and scooped Scarlett up in his arms. "Let's go back." Someone in a nearby spot exclaimed, "My goodness! He's carrying her in his arms!" Raymond carried Scarlett straight towards his car. Scarlett twined her arms around his neck. When they were passing Aggy, her lips curved in a smile.

She thought, | can play the bitch as well.

'Ms. Lea seems to be a bit slow-witted.

What a shame.’ It had never crossed Aggy's mind that things would cto this. Watching Scarlett smiling at her in Raymond's arms as if trying to provoke her, Aggy was beside herself with anger. "You're so fragile, Ms. Reed. How can you sit in Mr. Shaw's passenger seat when you can't even last a single lap on the track?" Having finished speaking, she gave a snort with a wave of her hand and, as if feeling bored, tossed her helmet to the man beside her. "This is so boring. I'm going home." Aggy was probably the only one who knew whether she was talking to herself or someone else.

Alexander took a pull at his watermelon juice, finding the whole thing boring as well. He felt that he must be soft in the head to have cto this place to expose himself to chill wind and such public displays of affection.

Raymond walked up to his car, put Scarlett down, opened the door and looked down at her. The expression in his dark eyes flickered as he asked, "Do you still feel sick? Scarlett knew he could tell that she was faking it, but she did not feel shamefaced. She smiled thinly, "There are fewer people here, and the air is much fresher. | don’t feel sick anymore.”
