Scarlett went to bed at two o'clock in the morning and she woke up at almost ten o'clock.

The curtains inside the room had not been opened and the room was dim. Scarlett slept too late last night, so she still felt a little drowsy when she woke up.

"Hilla, pull the curtains open." When Hilla heard Scarlett's command, the curtains slowly slid open. The bright sunlight shone into the room.

Scarlett raised her hand to block the sunlight and suddenly lost her sleepiness.

It was lovely weather today. The sun was shining brightly.

Scarlett got up and went to the bathroom to wash up. After washing up, she changed her clothes and went downstairs.

Before she reached the second floor, she heard Raymond answering the phone.

The weather in Juanton City was still a little hot in late September. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the second- floor balcony and the windows in the dining room were open, so Scarlett didn't feel hot when the wind blew in.

Raymond heard footsteps and said to Frank, "I'll talk to you later." Then he hung up the phone.

"Do you want to have breakfast?" Raymond put the phone aside and watched her walk towards him.

Scarlett looked at him and said lightly, "I want coffee." "Okay." Raymond replied and then walked inside the kitchen.

When Raymond came out of the kitchen, he was holding a cup of coffee and a sandwich in his hand.

Scarlett glanced at him, "You made this sandwich, right?" "Yeah." He put the coffee and sandwich in front of her.

Scarlett slept late and got up late this morning. Usually, Scarlett was used to going to bed early and getting up early.

Her routine was suddenly messed up. Scarlett looked droopy and had no appetite, so she finished her coffee but did not finish her sandwich.

Raymond finished her unfinished sandwich and said, "Do you want to sleep a little longer?" Scarlett looked at him and shook her head. "No." Raymond didn’t say anything else because Scarlett wasn't in a good mood.

Raymond made lunch. He learned to cook Thai food and it tasted good. The seafood was bought in the morning, which was very fresh. Tom Yum Kung soup tasted quite authentic.

Scarlett had a meeting in the afternoon, but she didn't want to go to the company, so she called Katherine and asked her to cancel the meeting.

After eating lunch, Scarlett went to her bedroom to get some sleep.

Raymond had a meeting that he had to attend in the afternoon. He waited for Scarlett to fall asleep before driving to Tenton.

Scarlett was sleeping soundly at three o'clock when her phone rang.

Scarlett answered the phone and said coldly, "Hello, this is Scarlett." What she said was no different from usual, but those who were familiar with Scarlett knew that she had a bad temper after being woken up.

Scarlett pressed her temper, glanced at the caller ID, and found it was a strange number. Just when she was about to hang up, a familiar female voice came from the other end of the phone. "Ms. Reed, it's me. I'm Shaylee." "Ms. Green?" Hearing Shaylee's voice, Scarlett frowned and asked, "Is there something wrong with you?" "Ms. Reed, I'm sorry to bother you, but I really..." "Of course, you know you're bothering me. Didn't we make things clear yesterday about what you did before?" Shaylee called Scarlett because she had something to ask for Scarlett's help.

Shaylee suddenly changed her expression when she heard what Scarlett said. She knew that Scarlett was the only one who could help her now. "I'm really sorry, Ms. Reed, but | had no choice." Now Scarlett got sober.
