Abbey was putting on quite the performance of graciousness, but Flora couldn't care less. With her jaw slightly clenched and her face devoid of any particular expression, she stared at Abbey, a touch of mockery gleaming in her slightly raised eyes. Despite hating her guts, Abbey kept up the pretense of being on good terms. How exhausting must that be? Abbey clearly saw the scorn in Flora's eyes. Her own eyes narrowed slightly, carrying a chill, but she was skilled at hiding it. To everyone else, it looked like Flora was the arrogant one, brushing off Abbey's friendly gestures. This really ticked off Abbey's supporters! "What's with Flora's attitude? Ms. Abbey is going out of her way to greet her, and she just snubs her! Where does she get her confidence? Ms. Abbey's background and medical skills are way ahead of hers!" "Exactly! Ms. Abbey is so accomplished yet remains humble and polite. Flora achieves a little and suddenly she's too good for everyone!" They glared daggers at Flora, wishing they could tear her apart with their eyes.
"Ms. Abbey, we'll give it our all. Thank you for your concern. Flora just isn't much of a talker; please don't take it personally," Shawn quickly interjected, trying to smooth things over. His Flora was perfect in every way, except her personality... which could easily rub people the wrong way.
Still, he found it odd. Flora was usually just reserved but genuinely kind. Yet, when it cto Abbey, she didn't bother hiding her disdain. Was there shistory between them? Abbey gave Shawn a cryptic look but said nothing, then turned and walked away briskly.

"Flora must've offended Ms. Abbey! Does she even realize the consequences?" Before the medical competition, there was a crucial training session that directly affected their performance.
If Flora had ticked off Abbey, what if Abbey decided to withhold vital information or not put her heart into the training? This thought made them even angrier, and they glared at Flora once more.
From a higher vantage point, Joy looked down at Flora, seeing her becthe target of everyone's ire, and a smirk curled on her lips.
Serves her right.
Just because she's got a bit of talent, she thinks she's better than everyone.
After letting everyone blow off ssteam, Joy spoke up, "We have twenty minutes until the exam starts. You can now head to the examination halls. I hope everyone can perform at their best!" After briefly going over the details, Joy left first, and everyone started heading to their examination rooms. Shawn and Flora were in the sbuilding, but Flora was on the third floor while Shawn was on the fourth. They each entered their respective rooms.
In the corridor, Joy watched Flora enter her exam room, recalling Abbey's instructions, and her eyes flickered. She didn't get why Ms. Abbey was going to such lengths to target Flora. To her, Flora was no threat at all. It seemed pointless.

"Shawn, my boy!" Just as Shawn was about to enter the exam room, someone called out to him. He turned around and greeted the person politely, "Mr. Tanner." "Hey there." Mr. Tanner approached, patting Shawn on the shoulder, "How are you feeling about the written exam? Confident?" "I'll do my best." "Good, I have high hopes for you." Mr. Tanner chatted casually for before your hand fully recovebit getting to the point,
"Yes," Shawn nodded, "My hand is affect my completely healed. It won't affe performance in the competition."
Mr. Tanner, though he had suspected as much, was still taken aback. Who had the skill to heal Shawn's hand so quickly? Even he couldn't pull off such a feat!
