notwithstanding. He thought he could easily intimidate them.

However, he was well aware that tangling with Marco was a bad idea. He was an unrelenting businessman who'd

stop at nothing to crush his competition.

Seeing no one aligning with his views, Hurley's bravado faded quickly.
