When her guess was proven right, Layla's brows furrowed and her expression darkened. "I'm calling my dad, not you! Why are you answering the call?!" yelled Layla as she lost control of herself.
Avery heard Layla shouting and hurried over with Robert in her arms.
Noticing that Layla was emotional, Ruby calmly said, "Layla, | know that you can't accept me, but I'm your dad's legal wife, and I'm pregnant with his baby right now. | accept you, and | hope that you'll find a way to acceptas well. "Where is Elliot? Why are you answering his phone?" Avery did not want to argue with Ruby. She needed to speak to Elliot. She needed him to tell her whether he was truly the father of the baby and whether he would be returning to Aryadelle.
"Avery, do you even know Elliot at all? Do you think | would dare touch his phone without his permission?" asked Ruby. "Letgive it to you straight. He toldto answer your call."
