Shelly laid on the couch and felt as though she had lost all hope.

Her family was still in debt, and she was barely making ends meet. If she was indeed pregnant, she would have another mouth to feed.

'Oh, God! This is a disaster! If anything can go wrong, it will!' she thought.

She lay still for a while before sitting up.

Feeling thirsty, she poured herself a glass of water and regained herposure.

She started to research what people did when they found out they were pregnant without a partner, and thements on the inte seemed to be divided into two situations.

If the person in concern was a student: [Tell your family, and get an abortion! Don't be afraid that your parents will be mad at you. Your parents are the only people who will help!] [Tell your boyfriend, and see what he thinks. If he wants the baby, you can keep it. An abortion can severely damage your health!] If the person in concern had graduated: [If your boyfriend is willing to bear the responsibility, that's great; but since you are seeking help on the inte, I guess that's probably not the case. If you don't want to be burdened by parenthood, I suggest that you get rid of the baby, or it will affect your life permanently as you will struggle to find a partner later in life.] [If the guy isn't willing to take responsibility, you should talk to your parents. If your financial state allows it, you can keep the baby. Of course, it would be best to end the pregnancy if you are struggling with money! Child-rearing takes up a lot of money!] Shelly gave up after reading all thements on the inte.

She was not Hayden's girlfriend, and not only were theyplete strangers, they belonged to two different worlds.

Hayden would never accept her child, nor would his family.

Shelly did not have the money to raise a child, and her parents would definitely be against her having a child before she was married; hence, there was no reason for her to keep the baby. She instantly started researching abortion, and hospital advertisements instantly popped up.

"Don't panic... I still don't know for sure!" She took a deep breath and set her phone down while mumbling, "I can't be that unlucky!" In the midst of doubt, stress, and fear, the day passed by, and the next morning, she performed another pregnancy test. Since the instructions did specify that testing first thing in the morning would increase the test's accuracy, she had been waiting to perform the test again.

Three minutes later, she stepped out of the bathroom.

It was six fifteen in the morning, and the sun had yet to rise.

She placed the pregnancy test under a lamp and waited for the results.

'I refuse to believe that something so unlikely has happened to me! I researched about pregnancy last e night and found out that women căn only get pregnant when they are ovulating, and I wasn't ovulating when I slept with Hayden Tate, so I can't be pregnant!' she thought.

Brushing off the faint lines she had seen on the pregnancy test the day before, she was ready to embrace the fact that she was not pregnant. Then two lines appeared.

Not only were there two lines, but the lines looked far more distinct than they had the day before.

Shelly stared at the test and felt as though she was about to collapse.

'What I saw yesterday might have been a hallucination, but the lines I'm seeing right now are even more distinct can't be imagining this, right? The pregnancy tests can't possibly be wrong twice in a row,' she thought. Her blood ran cold. She felt like she had a bomb implanted within her.

'I have to go to the hospital, or I won't be able to be at peace. Whether I'm pregnant or not, I need ssort of confirmation,' she thought as she threw the pregnancy test away.

She headed into the bathroom to wash up and changed to prepare for a visit to the hospital.

As she was about to head out, she glanced at the clock and realized it was only six forty in the morning.
