He did not like shopping and would normally only go shopping with his family; he would never go shopping alone. However, shopping with Shelly felt like shopping with his family, so he did not mind.

"Should I show you?" Shelly took out her phone. "Your mom messaged me." She unlocked her phone and saw Courtney's message at the top. Out of curiosity, she clicked to read it and was instantly at a loss for words when she found the conversation between Hayden and Courtney.
"You were asleep at that time. When I turned off the radio, I saw her message. She sent you multiple messages and seemed worried, so I replied," said Hayden.
Shelly felt awkward. "Um... Courtney always speaks bluntly. Don't misunderstand... I didn't have any intentions of doing anything to you during this team-building outing." Courtney often encouraged Shelly to pursue Hayden in their private conversations, but it was embarrassing for Hayden to see it. Hayden teased, "Do you think you can do something to me?" Shelly saw a small vel supermarket on the roadside and immediately walked toward it. "Let's buy a bottle of water!" Hayden reached for his wallet as Shelly grabbed a bottle of water.
Hayden was puzzled as to why she grabbed only one bottle.
"This is for you. I have a water bottle in my backpack," Shelly explained with a smile. "The sun is intense today, and if we keep walking, you'll get thirsty." Privacy
