Elliot paid Acher exceptionally well. He had followed Ivy to Night Technologies to protect her, despite claiming that he was bored. Archer forced a smile. "Go ahead with your work! Just ignore me!" Confused, Lucas entered his office to find Ivy watering the plants. "Why is your cousin here?" Lucas sat down and asked.
She set the watering can down and walked over to him, explaining with a smile, "My cousin was bored, so he decided toe to work with me. You don't have to pay him, though. There's nothing much he can do so we just placed him at the reception. That way, bad people won't daree in." "Are you sure he's your cousin? I feel like he's more like your bodyguard," Lucasmented. Ivy fell silent and thought to herself, "Is it that obvious? Is it because Archer is tall and muscular?" She changed the subject and said, "Caspian went to bring the investors in. Are you nervous?"
