Lucas headed into the fitting room, and Ivy waited on the couch, feeling content and buoyant.
The salesperson took the opportunity to talk to Ivy. "Your boyfriend is so handsand obedient. | envy you!"
"He hasn't always been this obedient, but his temper has improved greatlypared to how he was in the past," Ivy said.
In the past, Lucas was her employer, and she was his servant. Though Lucas would throw temper tantrums occasionally, he would
always end up listening to her so long as she stood her ground.
In general, Lucas was a reasonable person.
"You two have just graduated, right? You look so young!" the salesperson said.
"Yeah!"
"Would you like to check out a few outfits for yourself? We sell matching couple outfits!"
Ivy beamed. "Sure! Showthe couple outfits!"

praised, "Wearing new clothes gives you a new spirit! This set looks great; buy it! Try this as well!"
Ivy handed Lucas the men's outfit from the couple's set.
"How long will your brother be staying?"
"lI don't know! He didn't tellanything. It was my sister-in-law who messaged me. I'm not saying you have to wear new clothes
every day, but the clothes at this store are relatively inexpensive, so we can buy a few more," Ivy said.
Lucas did not want to go through the trouble, but he simply could not say no to Ivy's gentle and patient expression, so he took the
clothes to the fitting room to change.
Ivy brought a few sets of clothes to the checkout counter half an hour later.
Lucas retrieved his card from his bag.
Ivy pushed his card back and said, "I'll pay. It's fine."
Lucas placed his card on the counter. "lI don't want to spend your family's money."
Ivy smiled, picked up his card, and let the cashier use her card for payment. "I'm not spending my family's money. In college, |
interned at a TV station and earned my own money."
Lucas stopped pushing after hearing this.
The two of them walked out of the store. Ivy looked Lucas up and down and said, "Let's go buy shoes! | was planning to get you
snew shoes anyway. Yours are peeling."
Lucas glanced at his shoes; indeed, they were beginning to peel, but he did not think it was a big issue.
He usually wore slippers and only put on a pair of sneakers for today's shopping.
They bought shoes from the shoe store, and as they left the store, Lucas suggested, "How about | get a haircut?"
Since they had bought new clothes and shoes, it seemed reasonable to have aplete makeover.
"Sure! Your hair is a bit long. Although you look handslike this, shorter hair will make you look more energetic," Ivy said,
leading Lucas to a barbershop.
When Lucas returned hin the evening, Caspian was on his couch, eating instant noodles.
