Cornelia was driving the same ruby red Porsche that Marcus had gifted her when she was his secretary at Hartley
Group. Given the nature of her work, she didn’t get out much, and she drove even less, so the car still looked brand
new.
After getting into the car, Hannah looked around and asked, “You’re still driving this Porsche? Didn’t your man buy
you a new one?”

to remember me?”
Cornelia responded, “Hannah, I think you might be underestimating the size of your fan base. Yes, there are a lot of
new faces, but there are very few who can actually act. People are eagerly waiting for your return.”e2
Hannah asked, “Do you really think I can act?”
Cornelia retorted, “Or did you buy your Best Actress trophies? They are real awards. Your acting skills…”

Hannah continued, “Steven sponsored the awards the year I won. I guess he must have pulled some strings

Cornelia was driving and couldn’t free her hands or she would have poked Hannah in the head. “Hannah, can you
please have some clarity about your own abilities?”

Cornelia exclaimed, “The award you won is recognized both domestically and internationally for its professionalism.
Over the years, all who won that award were genuinely good actors. Do you think just because Steven was a
sponsor, he could break the rules and hand you the award?”
Hannah asked, “What else?”
Cornelia replied, “I’ve seen the movie you won the award for, and as far as I’m concerned, you genuinely deserved

Just then, Cornelia’s phone rang. It was Jeremy. She immediately answered, “Jeremy.”
Jeremy’s soothing voice came through, “I’ve arranged a private room for both of you. Come directly.”
Cornelia asked, “Did Steven ask you to do this?”
Jeremy confirmed, “Yes.”
Cornelia glanced at Hannah, who asked, “Rosie is there tog, right?”
Cornelia nodded.
Hannah said, “Then let’s go.”
“Alright.” Cornelia paused, then asked, “What’s going on between you and Steven?”
