Chapter 775: Victor's Threat Victor let out a cold sneer, his wrinkled eyes full of malice. "What can I do? They're already dead. Of course, I'll send Elsa a picture of their urns. Let's see if she chooses to keep that useless formula or watch her parents' ashes scattered to the winds!" Ella Bailey: "??!" Who on earth could cup with such a vicious plan?! Was Victor not afraid of being haunted by the vengeful spirits of the Dyer family's parents? Now that the evidence had been dug up, was there still tto warn Elsa? The suburban villa sat silently in the rain.
A modest two-story hcovering just two hundred square meters, most of the rooms were dark except for the dimly lit living room.
Members of the Mountain Veil Order were stationed discreetly in every corner, securing the villa. Elsa had been teetering on the edge of a breakdown all day. Exhausted, she had finally collapsed into an empty room to sleep. Inside, Sally's fever had subsided, Austin's wounds showed no signs of infection, and the elderly Dyer couple, after taking Tina's specially prepared pills, were sound asleep.
Courtney paced through the villa before returning to the living room.
Jayden sat quietly on the sofa, meticulously cleaning his weapons. Several uniquely designed butterfly knives were arranged neatly on the coffee table before him. Nathan, having just finished a task assigned by Jared, stretched his long legs out lazily and leaned his head back against the sofa, eyes shut in an attempt to rest. At his feet, Adriana Smith sat gagged, her fear evident. Her eyelids drooped as exhaustion overcher, but she didn't dare to sleep. Each ther eyes closed, they snapped open again, terrified she'd wake to find her throat slit by Courtney or the others.
Courtney glanced impassively around the room before taking a seat. Pulling out her phone to check the time, she muttered, "It's nearly dawn. Why aren't Tina and Mr. Farrell back yet?" Jayden placed the last butterfly knife back on the table. With a small sigh, as if completing a monumental task, he poured himself a cup of tea, took a sip, and said calmly, "They should be back soon. Maplewood isn't too far from here. No matter how troublesthose people might be, with the young master's skills, bringing them back shouldn't be difficult." "There are still two days until the trial," Dexter, who had just woken up, said while rubbing his eyes and walking out of his room. "Even if they're delayed on the road, it doesn't matter. The Bailey family can't cup with any new tricks against the Dyer family now." "Everything will settle once the trial begins," he added confidently.
Nathan opened his eyes slowly. "Then why do I still feel uneasy?" Outside, the rain continued to pour.

Nathan couldn't even recall the last the'd seen such extrweather. But was it just his imagination? He couldn't shake the feeling that something big was about to happen out there.
Dexter shot him a glance. "Stop jinxing us. The online uproar is already shifting in our favor thanks to the court summons. Everyone in the Dyer family is under our protection-what could possibly happen?" Nathan shook his head, unsure. "Maybe I'm just overthinking it..." Before he could dwell further, Elsa suddenly burst out of her room.
"Tina! Tina!" Her eyes were bloodshot, and she clutched her phone tightly, her panic striking everyone in the room. She scanned the living room, but not finding Tina, she turned toward the door as if ready to run out into the storm. "Mrs. Dyer!" Courtney, the closest to her, reacted quickly, grabbing Elsa's arm. "Mrs. Dyer, Tina isn't back yet! Do you need to find her?" "Yes, yes, I need to find Tina," Elsa stammered, her hand trembling so violently that she could barely hold her phone. "There's no time! Can someone call Tina? Tell her to cback right now! We're out of time!" "What happened?" Nathan's heart skipped a beat as he pressed for answers.
Dexter cursed under his breath, irritated at Nathan's earlier "jinx," and strode over with his long legs. "Mrs. Dyer, can I see your phone for a moment?" Elsa had been clutching her phone since she emerged. Whatever had rattled her so badly had to be on it.
She barely reacted as Dexter reached out, taking the phone from her hand easily. Her normally clear and resolute gaze was now clouded with confusion and helplessness. She just kept murmuring, "There's no time..." over and over, like someone who had suffered a profound shock.
"Bastards!" Dexter's eyes scanned the screen, and with just one glance, he couldn't help but curse aloud.
Jayden and the others immediately gathered around, and Jayden, ever cautious, even collected the butterfly knives from the table before standing up. "What is it? Did someone send Mrs. Dyer a message?" Dexter flipped the phone to show the screen. A message from an unknown number stood starkly visible. Courtney, still holding Elsa in her arms to comfort her, leaned closer for a look. The warmth in her eyes disappeared instantly, replaced by a chilling frost. "These people are despicable!" "Damn it, what do we do now?!" Nathan growled through clenched teeth.
Even though he wasn't Elsa, just seeing that message made him tremble with rage.
Someone was using Elsa's deceased parents' ashes to threaten her. They demanded the formula, or they would scatter the Dyer family parents' ashes into the dirt.
They had underestimated just how depraved the Bailey family could be.
Jayden's expression darkened further, the temperature around him seeming to drop. "I'll call the young master right now. We can't delay this any longer. Courtney, make sure Mrs. Dyer calms down." The Bailey family had given them a clear ultimatum: hand over the formula within three days, or the Dyer family parents' ashes would be desecrated. No wonder Elsa was so overwhelmed. Anyone in her position would feel the sdespair.
Twas running out.
Tina received the call while already on the highway.

In the backseat of a sleek black Porsche, she glanced at Jared, who sat beside her, his face as cold and unyielding as iron. She pressed her lips together, struggling to find the right words to comfort him. Her mind flashed back to the scene they had witnessed earlier. Diana's furious screams still echoed in her ears, and the memory of what they'd found made Tina almost vomit on the spot.
A few hours earlier, she and Jared had entered the Bailey family's small house.
The spacious living room was completely devoid of furniture, the emptiness amplifying the unsettling atmosphere. Against one wall stood a single folding bed. Beside it were various outdated medical devices, barely capable of sustaining the life of the person lying there.
The closer they got to the bed, the stronger the stench became, an acrid odor that assaulted their senses and made Tina's head spin.
When she finally reached it, the overwhelming reek nearly made her faint.
The woman on the bed was covered with a blanket so filthy that its original color was barely discernible beneath the layers of grand blackened stains.
The sheets beneath her were mottled with yellowish patches, sresembling dried blood, others something far worse.
Tina's voice trembled as she whispered, "Is she... even alive?"
