Adeena smiled faintly.

She was Adee.

She switched off her phone and continued packing her luggage.
Suddenly, Ruth screamed, “Oh, God! Daniel’s here too!” Another white car stopped downstairs, and
Daniel got out of it in a gray suit.
He walked toward Duke, and his voice was dull and husky as he spoke. “Duke.”
The simple greeting contained countless emotions.
Duke patted him on the shoulder and softly said, “Addy refuses to meet me. Do you have any
solutions?”

When Ruth saw the caller ID that was flashing on her phone, her lips curled up.
She knew that Dan would not ignore her.
She only picked up the call after her phone vibrated for a
long time. “Hello, who is it?”
Her voice was indifferent, but a glint of happiness could be heard if one listened carefully.
“I‘m Daniel Jones.”
His voice was deep and gentle as usual.
Ruth had been haggard for two days, but she was instantly healed by his voice.
She curled her hair with her finger and smiled , but her voice was cold. “Didn‘t you mistake me for
someone else? Why are you still calling me?”
“I want to see you,” Daniel softly said.
Ruth‘s mind was instantly blown.
She could not hide her smile and promptly chuckled. When she felt Brady and Adeena looking at her
suspiciously, she cleared her throat and said, “Okay, you can come upstairs. I only have three
minutes.”
Right after she spoke , she heard someone knocking on the door.
She subconsciously looked downstairs from the balcony. The two men, who had been standing below,
were gone all of a sudden.
She held her phone and speedily ran over to open the door.
“Dan...”
Her voice instantly died in her throat. “M–Mr. Winters. why are you here?”
Duke did not answer her. He just walked inside aggressively.
He stood at the entrance of the living room while he looked at the woman who was seated on the
couch far away.
Adeena held her phone tightly.

She raised her head and looked into the man‘s eyes.
When their eyes met, the atmosphere suddenly became silent.
Brady could not bear to stay any longer, so he grabbed Ruth‘s arm. “Let‘s go downstairs.” Ruth did not
want to stay there and watch them being affectionate either. Just as she was about to drag Daniel
downstairs, she was taken aback.
She noticed that Daniel‘s eyes were focused on Adeena.
His gaze was filled with extremely strong emotions.
She suddenly imagined that the person whom Daniel initially wanted to see was Adeena.
But he had come to her by accident.
Ruth felt a cold shiver run down her spine, and she could not move at all.
Adeena did not realize that something was wrong with Ruth.
“Mr. Winters, let’s go to the room and talk.”
Adeena got up and walked toward her room, while Duke marched after her.
