She denied, “Nothing!”
Just as they entered the door, Charlie grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms.
He leaned against the door and looked at the woman in his arms. His eyes were fixed on her face. “He is your
children’s father?”
“Huh?” Theresa looked at the man in front of her and wondered what was wrong with him. Hearing his words, she

Theresa pursed her lips. Seeing how he held her in his arms and questioned her closely, she felt helpless. “Stop
asking. I won’t tell you.”

She found it quite ironic that he was asking about it here and now.

He thought that she could really cheat on her husband..
Charlie said, “Why don’t you tell me? We are now divorcing. It will not affect you even if you tell me. Why? I don’t
deserve to know it?”.
Theresa looked at him and reached out her hand to stroke his cheek tenderly. “Charlie.”
Her voice was so soft that the man who had just questioned her immediately succumbed to her. He squeezed a
sound out of his throat. “Huh?”
Theresa said, “Don’t ask. Don’t bring up these unhappy things. I’m sick of it.”
Charlie looked at her with some reluctance and displeasure in his eyes. “You’ve never, ever taken me to your
heart.”
She was literally the most heartless woman in the world!
She was always like this no matter how nice he was to her.
This made Charlie very upset.
Theresa could see that he was displeased. She raised the corners of her mouth. “I’m going to take a shower.”
Getting out of his arms, Theresa grabbed her pajamas and went to the bathroom.
She finished removing her makeup, looked at herself in the mirror, and remembered Charlie said that she had
never taken him to her heart.

kids to the spa hotel that Daphne had invited her to.
Cristina had the day off, so Theresa invited her too.
In the car, Theresa was driving. Cristina sat in the passenger seat and asked, “Are you and Charlie really.
divorcing?”
“Yeah,” Theresa said. “The divorce agreement was signed yesterday.”
“So when are you moving out?”
“When Leonard and Ben get their offers.” Theresa glanced at the two little ones sitting in the back. Leonard was
helping Ben wipe his mouth with a tissue.
They had been eating on the way without stopping.
