‘So what if Charlie put in so much effort to try to save the Cameron’s Group? From the way he’s acting now, he

Jimmy smiled, picked up his phone, and made a call. Of course, he was calling Theresa!
Theresa was at home when she picked up the call and heard Jimmy ask, “What are you doing?”
Jimmy called using the company’s landline.
Theresa looked at her phone screen and realized it was Jimmy, then said, “Mr. Watson, why are you calling at this
hour?”
Whenever Theresa was in any kind of trouble, this scum Jimmy would always call and mock her! He was never late

Therese could clearly sense the egoistical tone of Jimmy as he said, “Lloyd’s thing has gotten a lot of attention
lately, looks like it affected your family’s company quite badly. What’s going on with Charlie? Why hasn’t he made a

Theresa was not even surprised. “Tell me, how many comments did you buy? Right after Charlie and I got
divorced, Lloyd’s matter got exposed, what a coincidence.”
Theresa was not an idiot, she knew Jimmy definitely played a role in this.
Jimmy quickly explained, “Now you’re accusing me of something I really didn’t do. Your family’s company is too
conspicuous now, it’s normal for it to be targeted. Frankly, this isn’t that big of a deal. If you beg me, I’ll settle this
for you. Even though I already left the Cameron Family, that, I’m still capable of doing.” Jimmy was in a great mood.
He felt like he traveled back to the times before Theresa and Charlie got married when he could fully control the life
of this woman and no man like Charlie would help her anymore. Once again, Theresa ended up in his hands!
Theresa raised her brows, she knew she could not force Jimmy to admit what he did if he did not want

She purposely asked in a softer tone, “So, If I beg you, you’ll help me?”
Jimmy nodded. “Of course, it’s not a big deal. What, you think I can’t help? You can’t possibly think Charlie is the
only reliable man in the world, right? Theresa, don’t patronize me.”
Theresa smiled. “Never mind! You’re a married man, I don’t want to trouble you. I don’t want your finding out, she’s
not someone I dare to mess with! She’s a Nandlall, after all!”
Jimmy pursed his lips. “Are you coming or not?”
“No thanks,” Theresa said, “I appreciate your offer.”

Theresa hung up the call right after. She looked at her phone and felt quite surprised, she did not expect Jimmy to
call her. However, she could roughly guess what Jimmy was thinking, he knew she got divorced and wanted to laugh
at her, that was all. Did he really think he could do whatever he wanted to
her now that she had left Charlie?
Charlie had already returned home and taken a bath. He walked out of the bedroom with his hair still partially wet.
When he passed by Leonard and Ben’s room, he stopped in front of the door, pushed it open, and walked in. The

He walked out and called the helper over and asked, “Where are the kids?”
Leonard and Ben were not at home. It was no wonder Charlie felt something was off when he came home. If it
were before, Ben would have happily called him “dad” as soon as he saw him.
Thinking of those two little guys, a rare gentleness appeared on Charlie’s face. Although Leonard was not
as amiable as Ben, he was still Charlie’s son. More importantly, Leonard acted a lot like Charlie
sometimes.
Of course, Charlie returned home to see his two children. He wondered if the two of them were causing a fuss after
Theresa left.
The maid replied, “The two of them went to Ms. Cristina Lagarde’s place. Madam said it’s been very long since they
saw their mother, so she said to let them spend some time with Ms. Lagarde.”
Charlie frowned. Cristina?
Although Cristina was the mother of his children and had the right to see them, thinking of how
irresponsible that woman was towards his two children, how she only cared about having fun, and how she kept
insulting him, Charlie was not very happy about it.
