From Eugene’s place, they went to the hospital first and got Cristina’s scratches treated.
Cristina sat there. She was not so worried about her face because Roderick’s colleague was taking care of her
injuries.
She was more worried about Eugene.
Cristina turned to Roderick and asked, “Has his mother always been like that?”
“His mother is not very stable mentally. You should stay away from her next time and don’t fight with her. She has a
mental illness, so she won’t be held responsible even if you get hurt.”
Cristina said, “What about Eugene? Just let her go on like that?”
Roderick said apologetically, “I don’t know much about it. I met her for the first time at Pat’s wedding to Rose’s
mother. She was quite gentle back then. Maybe it is because she couldn’t get over her daughter’s death. Eugene

Seeing Roderick, he said, “They… went home? Is Cristina all right?”
“Her injuries have been taken care of,” Roderick said. “Theresa took her home. But… she’s worried about you.”
“I’m okay.” Eugene hadn’t wanted Cristina to know what was going on in his family.
Since his mother came back, he had spent most of his time with her when he was not working. He did not dare. to
get close to Cristina anymore.
He believed that Cristina would only be suffering if she stayed with him in this situation.

Roderick looked at Eugene. He guessed the reason why Eugene was afraid to stay with Cristina.

someone walked in.

When she saw Eugene, she said, “Hello, Uncle Eugene.”
Eugéne said to her, “Come and have a seat.”
Rose was holding something in her hand. She put it on the table and asked Eugene, “Is Grandma taking a nap?”

Roderick sat there and looked at Rose, who had come alone today, not with Jimmy.

However, she didn’t want to look awful in front of Roderick, so she smiled and said, “Good!”

She had stayed in a hotel for the past couple of days without going back to the Watson family.
In the past, she would have a wonderful time with her family during the festival, but she spent it in the hotel this
