Chapter 1384

She knew he asked that on purpose, but nevertheless, she answered excitedly, “Yes!”

Odell smiled and brought her inside.

They entered the single VIP room that Odell booked, and the dishes were already pre–ordered before they arrived.

Most of them were light dishes, but there were several heavy ones as well, which satisfied Sylvia’s taste buds.

After feasting, Sylvia felt energized. She wanted to bring him around for a stroll, but he dragged her back to the

hotel.

The moment they entered the room, he used the thermometer to check her forehead again.

37.1° Celcius.

Sylvia’s eyes glimmered. “Odell, let’s get the tickets and go home!”

Odell’s expression remained grim. “You’re practically still having a fever. We’ll talk when you fully recover.”

Sylvia pouted.

The two of them took a nap together until Sylvia’s phone woke her up in the evening.

It was a call from Isabel.

Sylvia answered it away and heard Isabel’s adorable voice through the phone.

“Mommy, are you back with Daddy yet?”

Sylvia pursed her lips. “Isabel, something came up here. We haven’t started packing.”

“Is stupid Daddy bullying you again?”

“No, no. It’s not about him.”

Isabel sighed. “Hmph. Means you and Daddy are going on a dating trip.”

Sylvia was left speechless.

Flint’s sigh could also be heard. “Mommy has Daddy.

Mommy has forgotten that she has three babies waiting for her at home.”

Sylvia was at a loss for words.

“Fine. You can go date Daddy whenever you want,” Isabel said and then hung up the phone.

Sylvia helplessly looked at the black screen of her phone.

Already awake, Odell was looking at her from the side.

“Odell, give me the thermometer.” Her forehead felt chilly, so the fever must be gone. If her fever had finally

recovered, she could go back to her kids.

Odell sat with his hands crossed and did not even move a muscle.

“I just went online and saw there’re a lot of tourist spots here. I’ve only seen them in books before. I haven’t got the

chance to see them with my own eyes,” he said.

His lips curled and then added, “Why don’t you bring me around for a stroll tomorrow?”

Sylvia did not know how to answer the man’s sudden urge of going on a trip around town. Maybe it was because he

heard what Isabel and Flint said on the phone.

A moment of silence later, she said, “I want to go home. You still have work to do. Let’s come again when we have

time.”

He said, “I’ve been quite free lately.”

Annoyed, Sylvia said, “Well I have something to do!”

“What is it?”

“I miss the kids. I want to go home.”

“Then, I’ll call Jacob to send them here.

Sylvia choked. “No. Liam and Isabel still have to go to school. Flint is too small to be traveling.”

Odell remained calm. “You either stay here with me for two more days, or I will bring them all over here. Your

choice.”

Sylvia frowned. “I want to go home!”

“Alright. I’ll call Jacob to bring them here,” he said as he reached out for his phone.

Sylvia immediately snatched his phone away. She looked at him and said, “Odell, please be reasonable!”

“No.” He clutched her face and stared right into her eyes. He said in his deep voice, “Sylvia, you have left me for 24

days, do you know that?”

Sylvia’s eyes flickered. “We’ve met, didn’t we?”

“Just for a day.” Disheartened, he added, “In the past 24 days, you and the three little rascals have been talking

non–stop but not me.”
