Sherry stayed at the hotel for the entire morning.
After clearing some of her jobs, she started to miss her daughter. The warm feeling of holding her daughter to
sleep last night left her longing for more, and she wished she could hug the little angel in her arms immediately.
A quick thought later, she texted John.
“Master Stockton, are you free later?”
Two minutes later, John replied, “No.”
Sherry pursed her lips. “Can I see Caprice?”
“She’s too busy to see you. “”
“What is she doing? Why is she that busy?”
John ignored her this time on purpose, leaving her frowning.

Later in the evening, she saw John coming out from the entrance in his trench coat with Peter and several
bodyguards by his side.
There was no sign of Caprice anywhere.

Sherry frowned.
It was at that moment that John turned around. He was able to see her easily from his perspective.
Sherry nervously hid behind the plushie she bought for Caprice.
“Hmph.” John scoffed.
Confused, Peter asked, “What’s the matter, sir?”
“I saw a pig.”
“A pig?”
Peter looked in the same direction and was left speechless. Despite hiding behind the plushie, it was not difficult to
spot Sherry.
Sherry put down the plushie after hiding like an ostrich for a while. Then, she spotted John’s car sprinting on the
road, seemingly heading back to the Stocktons‘ residence.
Was he done with work for the day?
What about Caprice? Didn’t she follow him to the office today?

In the following two days, Sherry would text John every single day, asking if she could see Caprice.
The man either claimed that Caprice was busy, or simply ignored her.

Corporation as an excuse to visit him at the office, but he said he was busy. With all options exhausted, she waited
outside Stockton Tower again, hoping to see Caprice.
However, only John was spotted coming out of the building. Caprice was nowhere to be found.
Two days later, after Sherry’s text got ignored again, she went to the office again. She hid in the corner outside the
building and kept an eye out for the man and Caprice.
In the evening, when the sky started to turn day, a familiar figure came out again.
Similar to previous days, the man came out with Peter and his bodyguards only. Caprice was nowhere to be found.
Sherry was once again disappointed.
John looked in her direction again.
When she noticed his presence, they already locked eyes.
