Chapter 1519

By the time Sherry and Sylvia joined them, Isabel, Queenie, and Flint were already bunched together inside a go-kart and

were racing on the driveway.

Caprice seemed keenly interested in Liam as she followed Liam wherever he went. When he chose somewhere to sit and

watch everyone play, Caprice proceeded to sit silently next to him.

Sherry called after her a few times and she barely responded.

Sylvia smiled and assured Sherry. "Don't worry, Liam can take care of her."

Liam seemed very unapproachable and indifferent most of the time but deep down, he was very attentive and caring. He

was always the responsible brother and took good care of his siblings at home.

Caprice was very well-behaved and quiet, especially for her age. She was very easy to care for.

Sherry was not against it as children should be allowed to play with their peers. Besides, they had a crew of bodyguards

at earshot so there was nothing to worry about.

She smiled and dragged Sylvia somewhere else to find something interesting to do. After loitering in the area for a while,

they realized that there was nothing suitable for adults in the area. All the amenities were specifically designed to cater

to children.

John and Odell followed them on the leisurely walk.

Just as Sherry was pondering about where they should go, one of the men behind them suddenly suggested, "I think

there’s a lounge somewhere around here where we can play some chess and cards. They serve wine and tea as well.

Master Carter, what do you say we head over there?"

Chess and card? Wine?

Sherry and Sylvia stopped in unison.

Odell glanced at them and was very receptive to the idea. "Sure.”

The two men head toward the lounge together.

Sherry exchanged a look with Sylvia and asked, "Sylvia, shall we join them?" "Let’s! It's cold outside."

They followed them.

Shortly after, they arrived at the lounge which was right next to a large lake.

It was on the second floor and from this vantage point, they could see the children playing.

For some reason, there were not many people inside the lounge even though it was cold outside.

As soon as they came inside, several staff members came up to greet them. It seemed like they had been in

position for a while.

"Master Stockton, Master Caster, what table games would you like to play?" one of them came up and asked with a

welcoming smile.

John turned to Sherry and Sylvia. 'What would you girls like to play?"

Sherry gestured. "No, we're not playing, we just came here to take a look."

She was eyeing the wine cabinet hungrily as she said this.

Sylvia smiled, then turned to John and Odell. "You boys can play, we'll just drink."

John smiled. "Alright."

Odell glanced at Sylvia and sat down with John at the game table.

Several staff members came up to attend to them.

Meanwhile, Sherry took her time picking out a bottle of wine. She also ordered some snacks before finally

retreating to a private table where she and Sylvia could have some private time.

Sylvia passed on wine and chose to drink a cup of hot tea instead.

After finishing her glass, Sherry suddenly suggested, "Sylvia, let's play something too."

Sylvia asked, "What are we playing?"

Sherry went and grabbed a cup with several dice inside.

She smiled brightly and stated the rules, "Here's how it works. We're going to guess the roll of the dice and see if it's

an odd number or an even number. One of us rolls and the other one guesses, simple, isn't it?"

She figured it was boring to just drink and needed something to spice things up.

Sylvia smiled and agreed. "Okay." She came all the way here to Glanchester, there was no reason why she should not

entertain her.

Sherry shook the cup and slammed it against the table, then she turned to Sylvia and challenged her. "Guess."

Sylvia seemed very new to this. It took her several seconds of hesitation before she finally made her wager. "Odd."

Sherry revealed the dice underneath the cup. One, three, four. Even.

Sylvia took the cup from Sherry, now it was her turn to roll.

Sherry was very confident. "Even. 1

Sylvia lifted the cup. Five, six, five. Even.

With that, they whiled away the time with the dice-guessing game.

Sherry was having the time of her life with the game, fueled with wine, her happiness was ever-growing as she landed

correct guesses one after another. Sylvia, on the other hand, had struck out with every single guess she made and was

wearing a tight frown across her brows.

Suddenly, a figure approached behind her.

Sherry had just tapped the cup against the table.

"Even," the man spoke up suddenly, his voice heavy with bass.

Sylvia was caught off-guard by this and spun around.

Odell was smiling confidently. "Trust me."
