Chapter 1941

Moses turned around and followed Kenneth and the others out.

They stopped by the cashier before leaving to pay the bill, then they walked outside.

Caprice withdrew her gaze from them and noticed her friends staring at her intently. She asked suspiciously, "What

are you girls looking at?"

"Nothing."

The three of them shook their heads in unison.

Freya suddenly expressed poignantly, "Moses is a good man. What a shame.”

Lana nodded in agreement.

Caprice thought nothing of it. She knew that Moses was interested in her, but she already belonged to someone

else.

Moses was a good man, and she was sure there he would manage to find the perfect partner for him in the future.

There was no need to feel sorry for him.

After the meal, Caprice and her friends went to the cashier to settle the bill.

Just as Caprice reached for her phone and prepared to pay the bill, the cashier suddenly asked, "You girls are

seated at table six near the entrance, correct?"

Freya nodded, "Yeah, why do you ask?"

The cashier remarked with a bright smile, "A man who went by the name of Moses already settled the bill for you."

Since the bill was already settled, there was no need for the girls to pay anymore.

Caprice put her phone away. Freya, Piper, and Lana exchanged confused looks, then they looked at Caprice before

putting their phones away too.

With that, they walked out of the restaurant together.

On the way back to the dormitory, Caprice sent a text to Moses while her friends were busy chattering away. "Hey,

Moses, thank you for paying for our table."

Moses replied almost instantaneously, "You're welcome."

Meanwhile, outside the restaurant where they had just finished eating, a private investigator with a large cap

thrown over her head was hiding beneath the shadows and sending a text to Heather.

Heather had hired her and tasked her to spy on Caprice. She had been posted in the vicinity of Sparkrow University

since this morning and waited until the evening when Caprice showed up at last to meet her friends.

She followed them to the restaurant as well. Although she failed to eavesdrop on their conversation when they

talked about Caprice's family, she still managed to extract some valuable information.

She told Heather about Moses paying for Caprice and her friend’s bill and began speculating, "Miss Manson, I

believe that man is into Caprice."

At the Manson', the moment Heather saw the latest update, she replied, " Did you manage to sneak in some

pictures?"

The investigator promptly sent her a batch of pictures. She managed to take clear pictures of Moses as well as of

Caprice and her friends eating at the restaurant.

There was a noticeable distance between Caprice and Moses. One of them was in a seated position while the other

was standing. They looked like nothing more than mere acquaintances, and nobody would suspect there being any

further relations between the two.

However, Moses looked at her in an especially affectionate way.

The sharp-eyed Heather immediately noticed this. She ordered the investigator, "Find out more about this man."

After retiring to the dormitory, Caprice threw herself onto the bed after she showered.

As usual, she reached for her phone and the first thing she did was stalk Liam’s profile.

He had posted a picture taken from the usual angle from inside his office facing the windows, showcasing the view

outside. It was captioned: "A quiet night."

When had it ever been noisy anyway? There was not a single marked residential area within a ten-mile radius of

Carter Tech City. Unless there was an ongoing storm, it was tranquil most of the time.

Caprice did not think too much of it. She liked the post and went to text Liam, "Hey, Liam, did you get enough rest?"
