However, the police did not find any new evidence from the golf course and decided to convict Genevieve of attempted murder based on available evidence. As they were about to submit the cvidence to the court, a woman came to the police station and confessed she had poisoned Paula.
The woman said she was a clcaner at the golf course and was jealous of rich people like Paula and Genevieve.
She had another job at night as a cleaner in a school and had access to the school’s chemical lab. Furthermore, she had heard that potassium cyanide was colorless, odorless, and poisonous. Therefore, she stole some from the lab.

The first video was surveillance footage from a school’s lab, showing the cleaner half-hidden among cabinets as she stole potassium cyanide. The other video was surveillance footage from the golf course. When playing the video at a slow speed, one could see the cleaner slipping in poison when wiping the table.
Therefore, the police immediately arrested the cleaner based on her confession and solid evidence of her crime, charging her with attempted murder.
On the other hand, Genevieve was deemed innocent and released from detention.
At the same time, Cooper hired many reporters to report on the matter and posted the two surveillance footage on the internet to clear Genevieve’s name,
Later, he and Jane went to the police station to pick Genevieve up on the day of her release.
Cooper informed Genevieve, “Somcone almost killed the cleaner wien I found hier. The person drove an unlicensed car and abandoned it after leaving the tunnel.”

Genevieve accepted a jacket from Jane as she listened to Cooper and put it on. “Did she tell you
anything?”
“No.” Cooper frowned, and his expression became solemn. “I tried everything. She refused to say anything even after I told her that someone wanted her dead. Therefore, I could only obtain surveillance footage from the school and the golf course and took her to the police station to confess her crime.”
“What about her bank card?” Genevieve asked.
Cooper answered, “I investigated her family situation and her bank card. I even checked her phone but can’t find anything.”
Genevieve smirked upon hearing him. “Sylvie is getting more and more out of hand!”
“After you met with Mrs. Hossler at the club last time, Sylvie must have realized you are the reason why Mrs. Hossler ceased to think well of her,” Cooper explained. “Since she could not garner Mrs. Hossler’s favor, she decided to harm Mrs. Hossler and place the blame on you, killing two birds with one stonc.”
“She almost succeeded.” Genevieve narrowed her eyes threateningly. “I won’t let her escape unpunished.”
Then, she asked Cooper, “Coop, how’s Mrs. Hossler?”

She smiled when Genevieve came into her room with a basket of fruits. “I know you are innocent, so don’t worry. I am fine anyway.”
Then, Genevieve chatted with Paula for a while before leaving.
After leaving Paula’s room, Genevieve came across a group of doctors who seemed to be in the middle of something. She noticed Jermaine standing among them.
