It was not until the bus arrived at the reception counter of the skiing venue that she resumed her energetic self.
“Wow! This place is huge!” she shouted, leaping around.

“You okay?” he asked.
“I’m good. Thanks,” Amanda said, standing back on her feet nervously. Knowing she was at fault, she continued softly, “I’m sorry I ran into you, sir.”
The man bent down and caressed her cheek. “Don’t worry about it.”
Amanda frowned. She did not like strangers touching her, but when she took a look at the man in front of her, she was surprised. “Are you… Mr. Sulton’s friend?”

“I am,” Bruce replied with a smile. He took a good look at the girl as if he wanted to make a lasting memory of her.
His men had actually been following Genevieve and the children without them knowing, so Bruce was aware of their whereabouts.

“I came to Salinsburgh, Rodunst, with the film crew the day before,” Bruce replied, taking one last look at Amanda before standing up. “One of the actors had acute enteritis early this morning, so they rushed him to the hospital. The doctors said he has to be hospitalized for a few days, so we’re not filming for now. Since I heard you guys are here to ski, I thought I should come over since it’s not far away from Salinsburgh. By the way, are those your kids?” he asked, pointing at Lucian and Amanda.
