pretending to buy something while watching Calvin's every move.
However, after choosing something from the racks, Calvin headed to the cashier counter. When Sirius went after
him, he discovered the latter was not at the counter. Just as his heart sank, he felt a gun being pushed up
against his waist, followed by Calvin's smug voice. “You must be Sirius.”
At that point, Sirius secretly realized he had messed up. It turned out Calvin had already obtained his files.

Calvin used his gun to force Sirius to leave the grocery store and head toward a deserted alleyway. Sirius
immediately found a chance to fight back, and Calvin instantly started fighting with him.
Though Sirius was a skilled fighter, Calvin's moves were more vicious. Once Calvin threw Sirius to the ground, he
stepped on Sirius’ back and took the latter's phone. Then, Calvin unlocked the phone and took a picture to send
to Jasper.
Along with it were the words, ‘Cseewithin half an hour, or he dies. Afterward, Sirius was brought back to
Calvin's apartment. On the other hand, Sirius did not expect Calvin to have already found out his identity and
could even catch him alive to be brought back.
“You can killif you want to. Stop with the nonsense,” Sirius demanded coldly. His hands and feet were cuffed
with Calvin's special cuffs. Even an expert in escaping all sorts of bonds could not unlock those cuffs.
“Don’t fret! You will die sooner or later, but you must serve your purpose before that. | won't kill you until |
capture your comrade, Jasper Wyatt.” Calvin sat on the couch, glancing at Sirius with a sneer. “Your comrade is
my target. He will die before you do.”
“Are you sure you can kill him? He's our best, and you're nothing compared to him!” Sirius chastised Calvin.
Upon hearing that, Calvin becfurious and reached for his gun. He pointed it at Sirius’ leg and shot his thigh,
causing him to draw a sharp breath. Even though they were highly-trained special ops soldiers, they were still
human.
“I made sure you won't die before all your blood has drained from your body.” Once that was said, Calvin took
Sirius’ phone and took another picture to send to Jasper.
At the stime, Jasper, who had just finished patrolling the Presgrave Residence and returned to his room,

“Hello, Jasper. It's me. If you want to save your friend, you should be on your way here by now. I'll plant
explosives nearby, so if you can arrive in time, you will be able to save your friend and all the residents in this
apartment. Otherwise, the entire apartment complex will explode and collapse.”

the call and took another picture. It showed Sirius with a heavy- duty bomb attached to him.
In the meantime, Jasper had already tracked Sirius’ location through his phone. The latter was currently on the

around the building to ensure that Calvin had taken Sirius into that building.
