Chapter 1632: Prajna As Bianca opened the box, a faint fragrance instantly filled the entire flower hall. A group of wealthy young ladies looked up and saw a blood-red flower shining brightly before their eyes. The flower was beautiful and smelled good, but it inexplicably gave off an eerie and terrifying feeling.
Some couldn't help but look at it while others felt extremely uneasy. Selena took two glances at it and felt uncomfortable, so she looked away.
Bianca pointed to the flower and introduced it to everyone, "This is called Hell Flower, the most poisonous in the world. Its name comes from a legend in H country - Manjusaka." She smiled as she looked at the curious eyes of all those wealthy young ladies and said, "I advise you all to step back a bit just in case you accidentally drop it on the ground without its box. Within ten miles of this place will become barren with no grass growing - completely turning into a dead land." As soon as these words were spoken, those wealthy young ladies panickedly stepped back with looks of fear when they gazed upon that flower.
Bianca continued speaking while looking at their frightened expressions, "That's still not much; if Hell Flower's poison spreads out causing everyone here to fall into hallucinations or go insane until death - now that would be something big." With each sentence Bianca spoke, those wealthy young ladies’ faces became more unsightly until finally everyone had an unpleasant expression on their face.
What if someone from another city brought such dangerous things? What if they didn't like us? What if they threw this thing out? What would happen then? Bianca enjoyed watching many rich girls' fearful expressions before her gaze shifted onto Selena's face where she coldly laughed, "The first treasure of Central City has already been seen by Miss Turner; may | ask where Miss Turner's treasure is?" Selena glanced over Lillian after her gaze left that flower before suddenly seeing a young woman wearing Western-style clothing walking towards them from outside.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe woman walked gracefully towards Selena with a bow,"Miss Turner; | have been sent by my master to bring you a gift." After saying this statement, the woman presented what was held within her hands right in front of Selena before retreating gracefully backwards once again.
Selena watched as that woman retreated away with hidden thoughts flashing across her eyes.
Under the curious gaze of onlookers, Bianca lifted the brocade covering to reveal a small, translucent flower blooming in a pot. The flower was colorless and tasteless, almost imperceptible at first glance. But upon closer inspection, it exuded an indescribable sense of purity.
Bianca sneered. "Is Miss Turner trying to compare this unknown wildflower with the Hell Flower in Central City?" Selena stared at the flower without revealing her thoughts.
Winnie's gaze was complex as she looked at the flower. She heard Bianca's mocking laughter and spoke up suddenly. "This flower is called 'Prajna.' It can purify all poisons in this world." This particular flower only existed in Soo Family's possession within the entire capital city. The woman who had been wearing a classical and elegant suit earlier must have been from Soo family.
Before anyone could react, one young lady exclaimed excitedly, "Oh my goodness! That flower... thank you!" Bianca was still lost in thought over Winnie's words when she heard that sentence and instinctively turned towards Selena's pot of Prajna flowers. However, they were still blooming beautifully - even more so than when they were delivered earlier.
If it wasn't Prajna that had been thanked for something then what else could it be? As Bianca went to inspect other flowers around her she noticed everyone staring intently towards where Hell Flowers were placed; their expressions seemed off somehow...
She turned her head just in time to see those previously well-behaved Hell Flowers suddenly begin retracting their petals...
The flower that everyone had been avoiding suddenly sensed danger and with visible speed, it wilted and disappeared. Even though it was just a flower, its timid and fearful posture commanded respect.
Bianca's face changed abruptly. "This... this can't be possible..." In complete contrast to the hellish flower, the unremarkable "prajna" plant by Selena's side suddenly began to bloom. Its colorless petals opened up to reveal a translucent white, swaying beautifully while emitting a fragrant scent.
As everyone breathed in the aroma, they felt their minds being cleansed of all worries. They were left speechless at this sight.
Lillian's gaze fell on the "prajna" plant before looking at Selena with an amused smile on her face. Her cousin was certainly popular among men...
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmOnly after the hellish flower had completely withered did the prajna stop blooming and return to its previous unremarkable state.
Bianca looked at the dead hellish flower in shock before reassuring herself that maybe it was just time for it to die anyway? Could Selena win against her twice? She looked at Selena's prajna plant but didn't dare say anything mocking this time around.
She walked up to the second white box and opened it. The plain white box was adorned with intricate runes, giving off a sense of sanctity. Inside, on yellow silk lay several pure white pearl-like objects that shimmered with divine light.
Most people in H country recognized these objects.
"These are... relics?!" Selena exclaimed.
"Correct," Bianca replied, finally regaining her composure as she looked at the pearls and smiled. "To be precise, this is called 'Bodhi Bone." You know the legend in H country about how one can revive from death by obtaining Heart Blood, Vajra Heart and Bodhi Bone? This is one of them." "These pearls were left behind by a highly respected monk who traveled overseas to spread his teachings many years ago." "It's said that he died while trying to save a monarch in our central city by self-immolation. When he died, Buddha's light shone brightly from the sky and produced a Holy Lotus from his heart. Wherever the light reached, darkness receded and evil spirits fled." "After his death, these Bodhi Bones were left behind as gratitude for his kindness towards our central city. They have been enshrined in the Royal Tower for thousands of years now." "After hearing all this," Bianca continued proudly while looking at Selena amidst complete silence around them, "Miss Turner... what could you possibly compare against such priceless treasures?" Selena slowly raised her head to look at those few "Bodhi Bones", revealing a hint of coldness in her eyes.
She never expected Lillian would even use something like this just to redeem Robert...
Robert... does he deserve it?!
