Chapter 1201

"You're just saying it." Hannah expressed her disappointment knowing he was distracted.

"Dude, what makes you think I’m in the mood to talk about that right now? We're going to die soon! Do

you know what death is? If we're dead, then we'll have nothing! You've worked so hard since you were

young, so why would you give up now? You can't die, and I can't as well!” Ralph roared impatiently.

"Are you that afraid of dying?" Hannah asked with a raised brow.

Ralph did not hesitate at all. "Of course I am! I'm scared as h *ll! I don't want to die, and I want to keep

living. My life is great, so why would I want to die?"

Hannah nodded in an exceptionally calm manner. "Okay. I got it."

He could sense that her tone was somewhat off, but he paid no attention to it because he was

miserable. He was starving, his stomach was gurgling, and his body was in pain and exhausted. On top

of that, his throat felt like it was on fire. He decided just to stay silent and save his energy.

The night went by, and he fell asleep when it was almost dawn.

At 10 a.m., Lily arrived at the Riggs family's residence. As Alexander was worried, he also came along

with her, but he parked outside the house and did not follow her in.

However, he placed a tiny earbud into her ear and reminded her for the nth time, "If anything

happens..."

She continued what he was about to say, "Press the button right away, and rush in immediately with

your men. Don't take on everything by yourself, and do things within your limits. Don’t confront her

head-on, and we can discuss the things she brings up when we go home later."

Alexander had said these words to her countless times yesterday, and she could already memorize

them.

For a brief moment, Alexander was stunned, but after that, he gave her an adoring but helpless smile.

"You..." He could never bring himself to get mad at her, so he could only pinch the tip of her nose and

say, "It's best that you remember. I'll be waiting for you out here!"

"Okay." Lily nodded and opened the door, but a sudden thought hit her, and she turned her head back,

leaning over to leave a kiss at the corner of Alexander's lips.

It made him breathless for a moment. He drew her back just as she was about to walk away once

more, holding the back of her head with one hand before he closed the space between them and

passionately locked lips with her.

They kissed for a long time, finally stopping when they were both out of breath. The tip of their noses

was against each other's, and Lily said in a hoarse voice, "Hey, you're making it seem like we're parting

ways forever."

"Don't say this kind of thing! It brings bad luck!" Alexander covered her mouth and frowned as he

corrected her.

That made Lily chuckle even more. "Since when did you become so superstitious?"

"It's best to be cautious when it concerns you," he replied thoughtfully.

Seeing his look, Lily did not tease him anymore and nodded, replying in an equally serious tone, "I'll be

careful."

He was finally satisfied upon hearing that and let her go as he watched her enter through the gate.

Soon, she was picked up by a car to head to the house.

The gate closed in front of his eyes, and he made a call.

Lily sat in the car, and it brought her into the innermost part, which was the house they resided in.

The maids were polite to her. It was just that they said nothing to her or looked at her. Instead, they had

their gazes lowered the entire time.
