under someone’s control.Maybe he’s doing this willingly.However, it’s just a guess.I can’t be sure.”

Hearing this, Lily was now fully invested in this.She turned to look at him, sizing him up carefully.
“You mean, he’s an undercover agent?”
Alexander could not help but laugh at how serious she looked and went to nudge her upturned nose.
“You’ve watched too much TV; what undercover agent are you talking about? I’m guessing that maybe
he’s looking for something, but I’m not quite sure.He should have given me a heads up if he’s trying to
inquire about the situation at the research base.”

Her words made Alexander’s smile deepen.He could not help but lean in to kiss her cheeks when he

Lily wrapped her arms around his neck and adjusted comfortably before squinting and scolding, “Don’t
change the topic! Are you saying Edward hasn’t left since he went in?”
“The person following him has been guarding the door.Edward’s car hasn’t left,” he answered.
“Even if his car doesn’t come out, it doesn’t mean he hasn’t left.If he wanted to stay hidden, he might
not drive his personal car out,” she said after pondering for a moment.
Alexander was dumbfounded.
‘She’s right! Just because the car hasn’t left doesn’t necessarily mean Edward is still inside.The
vaccine development base is massive.No one can look for all the cars coming in and out from the
various entrances.What if Edward left in another car?’
