“ Since the twins have returned home, I figured you would want to bring Galen back too.” Having
expected this, the older man grew sentimental.
“ Nowadays, even a family reunion is hard to come by, isn’t it?” Alexander looked saddened as well.
Not quite getting it, Galen asked, “Have my brother and sister returned? Has Mommy returned?”
“Mommy hasn’t come back yet.” Alexander held his son’s shoulders with both hands and said
thoughtfully, “She still has something to do.
She’ll come back after that.” “will she?” Galen looked so disappointed that the two adults felt sorry for
him.
“Yes, I’m sure she will!” Alexander nodded.
“Your mom’s a tough one, okay? She'll be fine,” Dominic said steadily.
Alexander could not tell if he was trying to make them feel better or truly believed so.
