The most famous five-star hotel in the city was sixty-six floors tall. It overlooked the entire city. Still, Nathaniel
rarely went there, even with his financial resources. He had probably only gone there twice because of a
customer’s invitation.
However, he had invited Lily there, even though he was slightly apprehensive. Nathaniel was not quite sure
what Lily had in mind. ‘Will she be willing to give me a chance, or will she want to test me? Maybe Lily still
resents me.’
No matter what it was, Nathaniel thought he still had a chance with Lily as long as he was persistent,
especially after spending all those years together.
Nathaniel wore a more formal suit. It was not pure white like the one from yesterday, but off-white, which
added a bit of a gentleman's demeanor. He looked elegant and handsome; if he dressed up more, he would

Nathaniel arrived very early, and the seats there focused on customers' privacy. In addition, he did not know

would not come. Just when he wanted to call to ask where she was, he heard the footsteps of high
heels.
Nathaniel raised his head but choked on his words. He lost his voice and felt startled because he had
never seen Lily dressed like that. She no longer tied up her hair but let it flow naturally. Her slightly
curled hair was casually draped over her shoulders, and her knitted dress had a plunging neckline.
The dress shaped her silhouette very beautifully. Lily had a beige cashmere coat on as well. Nathaniel
could tell at a glance Lily was wearing the latest fashion collection from that season.
A simple and casual collocation could not hide her beauty at all. The pearl earrings and necklace were
a set, and the lustrous color made Lily’s skin more fair and translucent. Nathaniel and Lily had been
together for many years, but he had never seen her so beautiful.
"Y-You..." Nathaniel did not know what to say for a while, but when he saw Lily stretch out her hand to
pull the chair, he quickly got up, walked around, and hunched
over to help her pull the chair attentively. He also waved to stop the water from coming over. Then he
took the coat she removed, hung it behind the chair, and returned to his seat.
"You are so beautiful today!" Nathaniel could not wait to praise.
Lily smiled, "Yeah, I've never been beautiful before."
Nathaniel kept quiet. He felt embarrassed and replied, "I didn't mean that. You were beautiful before, but I

Raising her eyebrows, Lily looked at him like he was a clown. Was this the topic of discussion? She knew he
was going to start with some phony greeting.

been, Lily?"
"Good. Things are well, except for the occasional interruption by some pests." Lily waved her hand as if the
pests were in front of her.
Nathaniel knew she was referring to himself, but he had mentally prepared for her ridicule, so it did not matter.
He did not care if Lily mocked him as long as she was willing to change her mind. He could endure the
humiliation.
"I know I‘ve hurt you in the past. I did a lot of wrong things, and I was deceived. Hurting you was my biggest
regret. I honestly want to apologize to you!" He said earnestly and sincerely.
