“ I honestly had nothing to do with it.” Faced with Lily’s wary eyes, Alexander decided to confess, “Fine, I had
something to do with it, but I only a tiny part.” He emphasized while gesturing with his fingers, showing Lily
how little he got involved.
Lily was not that gullible, “Are you sure? Just a small part?”
‘He said he had nothing to do with this just a while ago, and now he says it’s just a small part.’

“All I did was provide the Westwood police force with some information. I showed them some evidence that
might suggest Melanie was one of the suspects in the kidnapping case. The rest was history.

already let her off the hook twice when we were here. I can’t let her go again, can I?”
Lily agreed that what Alexander did was for her sake, even if he were the one who gave the police a tip
about Melanie. If she were innocent, the police would not be able to pin the crime on her. Since
Melanie got arrested, maybe she did something to hurt Lily that Lily was unaware of.
Lily could only roll her eyes and say, “Amazing! You were outright amazing!” If this happened in a
television drama, Lily was sure the director would give Alexander some heroic background music to
make him look cooler.
“Then, doesn’t this mean I should receive a reward?” Alexander concluded while inching his face closer
to Lily’s.
Lily rolled her eyes again and gently kissed his cheek, “ Happy now?”
“Why are you so stingy with your rewards?” Alexander
showed his dissatisfaction and took things into his own hands, “You should do it like this.”
After paying the bill, Nathaniel exited the restaurant dejectedly when he stumbled across Alexander and Lily
