"Was it seven?"
Alexander hesitated before speaking again, "You should have been around seven years old at that
time?"
He could only guess based on his own age, but he was not entirely sure.
However, he was sure of one thing.
"You came with your parents back then."
"My parents..."
The term had become a thing of the past for Lily.She could barely remember her parents’ faces now.
"I have no recollection of it." she shook her head and felt frustrated.
She felt saddened for not being able to remember what her parents looked like and for her vague and
almost nonexistent memories.
After her parents passed away, she suffered such a massive blow that she had not remembered much
of her past.

However, it was natural for her to feel sad for having lost part of her memories that she could never
recall, no matter how hard she tried.
"If I was only seven, then how old were you? It's too early for puppy love, don’t you think? Or should I
say a secret crush?"
After some thought, she asked, "Wait, I was only seven.You wouldn’t have fallen for a seven-year-old
child, would you?"
"What are you talking about?"
Alexander flicked Lily’s forehead and chuckled.
"You were an adorable little girl with a radiant smile and..."
He stared at her face, reached his hand over, and pinched her soft cheek.
"...a chubby face."
Lily yelped in surprise as her husband suddenly pinched her.She slapped his hand and asked curiously
despite herself.
"Then what? Since you remember my parents, what were we doing visiting your old house?"
"It was my grandmother’s birthday, and you guys came to the party, I think."
Unlike her, Alexander seemed unwilling to recall the past.
"It’s been too long.I can’t remember much."
Lily vaguely sensed that it was not that Alexander could not remember but was reluctant to do so
instead.
As to the reason, Alexander did not explain.
However, she understood that everyone had a past they would not like to discuss, so she did not
pursue the matter.
"A new batch of equipment will arrive at the studio tomorrow.Are you able to handle it being so busy?"
Alexander asked, concerned.
"Yes, of course."
Lily nodded hurriedly but grew nervous again, thinking about the two lines on the pregnancy test.
Lily did not want him to notice her nervousness, so she yawned.

"Then go and sleep."
Alexander did not suspect anything and nodded.
"I have to handle something, so you go ahead and sleep without me, okay?"
"Why? You think I’m a child?"
Lily pushed his shoulders from behind.
"Go do your things.I’m hitting the sack."
Alexander turned around at the doorway after Lily nudged him forward.He lowered his head and kissed
her forehead.
"Be a good girl, okay?"
Warmed by his actions, Lily purred.
"Okay."
She gazed at his departing back and heaved a relieved sigh.She helplessly touched her tummy and
wondered what to do about the child.
