Chapter 162
“Ms. Rhonda, it's unrealistic to expect to destroy Bailey and still be able to take credit. Nothing good
ever comes from greed,” sneered Cadence. “I'd tell you to pick one if it's possible, but the truth is you
don't have a choice anymore. All we can do now is destroy Bailey for good by making her responsible
for Old Mr. Chivers' death.”
Hesitation was written all over Rhonda's face as she pursed her lips tightly. Should we really kill Old Mr.
Chivers?
“Think about it. If he doesn't die, how will we get the Luthers and the Chiverses to hate Bailey? You're a
smart woman, so I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about.”
After listening to the man, Rhonda squeezed her eyes shut, for she knew Cadence was right.
Still, she was upset that she had to give up her moment of glory because of Bailey.
“With Bailey out of the way, it'll be easier for you to marry into the Luther family,” reminded Cadence.
Hence, Rhonda's eyes sprung open before she lifted her head to look at the man with clenched teeth.
“So be it. Let's see how the Luthers and the Chiverses like her when she has Old Mr. Chivers' blood on
her hands.”
Cadence then pressed his lips onto Rhonda's before voicing, “Now that's what I want to hear. We must
learn to see the big picture. Once you finally get rid of Bailey, who else is there to stop you from making
the world your oyster?”
After clenching her fists to suppress her intense emotions, Rhonda inquired, “How will you cause Bailey
to fail the operation and have it lead to Old Mr. Chivers' death?”

In response, Cadence pulled out a spray and waved it in front of the woman. “It's colorless and
odorless, so nobody will be able to notice it. It can damage one's central nervous system, where Old
Mr. Chivers' tumor just so happened to grow. The second Bailey cuts into the old man's already
damaged system, she'll kill him.”
“There's no way for me to get close enough to spray that old man. I can't even enter the Chivers
residence, so how am I going to get this into his system?” asked Rhonda frustratedly.
“You can't, but others can, like Mrs. Luther or your son. I'm sure you don't want the little guy's central
nervous system to be damaged, so find a way to spray Mrs. Luther. She'll carry it to Old Mr. Chivers.”
Suddenly, Rhonda felt a surge of ecstasy. Oh, I'm more than willing to spray this on that little b*stard!
Haha! I've finally found a way to kill him. The time has come!
With that thought in mind, the woman snatched the spray from Cadence. “If this works out, rest assured
that I'll make it worth your while. I know you hate Bailey; she'll be all yours when this is over.”
Cadence gave Rhonda a half-smile while grabbing her bottom. “Why would I want anyone else when I
have a vixen like you? However, if you want me to give that woman hell, I can make it happen.”
Rhonda's eyes burned with intense hatred as she tightened her grip on the porcelain bottle. I'll make
Bailey and that little b*stard pay!
Meanwhile, in the living room of the Luther residence, Felicity jumped to her feet from the couch in
anger. “Unbelievable! How dare Bailey request that I kneel before her! And what right does she have to
ask me to cut ties with my father? What a big fat joke!”
“You're right. She doesn't have the right to ask you to kneel or cut ties with your father. However, she's
the only person in the world who can save him,” uttered Artemis while leaning casually against a shelf
not too far away with his arms crossed on his chest.
“Nonsense!” sneered Felicity before continuing, “Dr. White's still in Hallsbay. I admit he's not as skillful
as that woman, but I'm willing to give him a chance. If he succeeds, I won't have to suck up to that
b*tch!”
Artemis shrugged nonchalantly in response. “Whatever. If you think your pride is more important than
Granddad's life, I'm not sure what else I can say. You can reach out to Cadence if you want to. I'm not
going to stop you.”
“I'm your mother! Are you fine with watching me kneel before a nobody? Are you going to just let your
mother be humiliated like that?” questioned Felicity rhetorically as she scowled at her son.
Artemis nodded slightly before replying, “Back then, you said you'd kneel to beg for Anonymous' help
when you find her.”
“But she turned out to be Bailey! She's Bailey!” roared Felicity like a madwoman.
In response to that, Artemis helplessly sighed. “As you said, she is Bailey, but she didn't intend to make
this difficult for you at the beginning. Yet, you insisted on offending her by trying to get her locked up
and compromising her identity as Anonymous. Now that you know who she is, you should keep your
word and beg her for her help.”
“Y-You...” Felicity got so furious that she had to take a while to recollect herself. “So this is how you
treat your family. I can't believe you're siding with an outsider instead of your own mother!”
“Bailey isn't an unreasonable person. If you're willing to apologize, she won't put you in a difficult spot.

After slumping into the couch, Felicity pointed her finger straight at the door and ordered through gritted
teeth, “Get out!”
“Cadence may have a chance at a successful operation, but he's far less skilled than Anonymous. You
should think about it carefully and make sure you don't regret your decision for the rest of your life,
Mother,” advised Artemis as he made his way to the door.
Not long after Artemis had left, Rhonda entered the place.
Seeing how upset Felicity was sitting on the couch, Rhonda took a moment to arrange the sentences in
her mind before approaching the woman. “What's wrong, Mrs. Luther?”
When Felicity lifted her head and saw that it was Rhonda, she quickly inquired, “Ronni, is Dr. White still
in Hallsbay?”
After nodding in response, Rhonda remained standing in place as she cautiously voiced, “Mrs. Luther,
Dr. White called me and told me that Anonymous is better than him in terms of medical skills. That's
why he thought Anonymous should be the one to do the operation...”
Without giving Rhonda a chance to finish, Felicity abruptly slammed her hand on the coffee table.
“D*mn it! Are you siding with Bailey too?”
“No, no, no!” answered Rhonda immediately while grabbing Felicity nervously by the arms. “I'm on your
side. It's just that I think we should get Granddad the best since his life is on the line.”
With her eyes widened in rage, Felicity was about to rebuke Rhonda but suddenly changed her mind.
She kept silent for a while before finally giving in. “Fine! I guess I'll just have to treat Bailey like a
goddess since she has the best chance of saving my father. All I have to do is apologize. Sure, let's get
it over with.”
