Chapter 208
Larissa closed the door and locked it from the inside.
The two people outside her door left after a minute, but they probably didn’t go downstairs because
Larissa heard the sounds of their doors closing, one after another.
Larissa kept her eyes open until dawn.
She did not sleep a wink, but no one came to knock on her door after that.
Breakfast was still delivered to her room by the household stall.

pocket. “This is the key to my room, right? Since I’ve lost my old one. I’ll take this instead.”
Lana opened her mouth to protest, but she finally relented. “Alright,” she said reluctantly.
“Do you need something from me? Larissa asked her.
“Oh!” Lana seemed to have just remembered why she came. “Dad came home, and everyone’s in the
living room downstairs. He asked me to come up and get you.”
“No, thanks,” Larissa refused. “I just had breakfast, for some reason, I feel a bit tired. I need to sleep a
little longer.”
This time, Lana didn’t try to persuade her like she did yesterday. Instead, she smiled with glee.
“If you’re tired, then rest well I’m sure Dad will understand.” Lana said reassuringly. “By the way, if
you’re going to sleep, don’t lock the door. I’m afraid you won’t hear me when I come to call you for
lunch. Dad said everyone must be present for today’s lunch, no absences allowed.”
“Okay,” Larissa agreed.
As soon as Lana lett, she immediately locked the door.
Well, it seemed that everyone in the Seymour family was involved in this conspiracy. No one was an
exception.
Larissa felt that she couldn’t just sit and wait for her impending doom.
If she locked herself up in her room and refused to come out, they would definitely suspect something.

“I thought about it and decided it’s better to come down and say hello.” Larissa sat down beside Yvette
and held her hand naturally.
Yvette’s body stiffened and there was a hint of disgust in her eyes.
Instinctively, she wanted to pull her hand away, but she hesitated for a few seconds before relenting.
