Chapter 370

Ruby anxiously shouted, “Larissa, if you want to blame someone, blame me, not Kevan! He has

nothing to do with this. Direct your anger

at me!”

Direct her anger at that woman? Indeed, Larissa felt the urge to act aggressively and confront Ruby,

perhaps even pulling her hair, forcing her to apologize to M uffin. But what would that accomplish?

Kevan would still believe Ruby, protect her, and help her deflect the blame.

leaving Larissa labeled as a “jealous wife.”

So, what was the point?

In that instant, the thought of it made Larissa’s anger dissipate, and it was replaced by a profound

sense of exhaustion and

powerlessness.

“I’m tired,” Larissa finally said. “I’m going to bed.”

After she left. Kevan’s phone call continued.

Ruby asked, “Kevan, do you believe me?” Her voice was tense and trembling, revealing her

nervousness.

Kevan’s eyes darkened, and his face grew increasingly gloomy. However, his voice remained soft and

melodious, akin to a cello. “Of course, I believe you.” Dylan, sitting beside him, pursed his lips and

silently mourned for Ruby in his heart.

Ruby and Kevan talked for a while longer, and she reluctantly ended the call after he mentioned his

tiredness.

Dylan clicked his tongue a few times before asking Kevan, “Are you planning to divorce Larissa

tomorrow?”

Kevan merely glared at his friend, rose to his leet, and retreated to his room.

In the following days. Kevan and Dylan were out early and returned late. Larissa asked Violet for a

driver to take her to the hospital every day, where she would bring Cookie to accompany Mu ffin for at

least half a day.

Somehow, Edmund caught wind of the situation and conveniently bumped into her at the pet hospital

multiple times. On each occasion. he would bring her the latest updates on Kevan and Ruby while

urging her to divorce swiftly and free herself from misery. Larissa ignored him as usual and remained

focused on visiting the doctor’s office daily to inquire about M uffin’s discharge.

“Do you know that my brother and sister-in-law are getting divorced?” he asked.

She wasn’t surprised by the news. Although the matter had dragged on for a long time, the outcome

seemed inevitable. Moreover, it would likely be resolved swiftly with Dylan’s involvement. She silently

speculated that Kevan would broach the topic of divorce when he returned

that night.

Their previous attempt at getting divorced couldn’t be finalized, and she didn’t feel comfortable raising

the issue while Dylan had been living with them. Alas, Kevan’s relief from the marriage was imminent.

However, Larissa maintained her composure in front of Edmund. “Is

that so? That’s truly unfortunate.”

He stared at her for a prolonged moment, appearing puzzled by her reaction, “Why aren’t you worried

at all? My brother is divorcing his wille, and now that she’s single, aren’t you afraid Kevan will divorce

you and marry her?”

“Why y should I be worried? She smiled. “You’ve been laying the groundwork for me all these days,

trying to prepare me in advance, right?”

“No,” he vehemently denied. “I just wanted you to see Kevan’s true colors.”

“What true colors”? We’re talking about your cousin here she scolded him. “You’re even considering

pursuing me and constantly pressuring me to divorce your cousin. How is that any different from

Kevan?”

Edmund was momentarily stunned, his expression displaying a hint of dejection. Alter a while, he found

an appropriate excuse. “I… I only wanted to save you from my disloyal cousin, Il Kevan had been more

faithful to you, I wouldn’t have considered pursuing you.”

“I don’t need your help,” she retorted coldly. “I am a capable adult who knows how to manage my own

marriage. Regardless of what happens between Kevan and me in the end, it’s my own business, and I

don’t need anyone interfering.”

He pursed his lips. “Alright then,” he said. “Just don’t blame me later for not warning you.”

Larissa waited al home for some time, anticipating a divorce request from Kevan. However, what

arrived was a wedding invitation. Kevan brought back the invitation, which featured his recently

divorced cousin, Cody, and her long-absent sister, Lana.
