Chapter 443

When they went out, they happened to meet several policemen coming in. Some parents even stopped

to give them directions, and told them to head upstairs quickly.

“That woman is insane! She even beat up a teacher!”

“She’s dangerous, you must detain her at once!”

Larissa hastened her pace as she did not want to get involved with this matter.

Aster was shaken up pretty badly. When he was in the car, he kept crying about how scary it was over

and over again.

Larissa hugged him and comforted him for a long while, finally saying that she would buy him

Superman toys before succeeding in diverting his attention,

Aber they finished watching the movie. Larissa led Aster down to the parking lot to retrieve her car.

They had come late, so there was only a spot for them far away from the elevator. They walked

leisurely in that direction when a car suddenly zoomed out of nowhere and headed straight for them.

Thankfully, Larissa reacted quickly. She had Aster in her arms before squeezing into the small space

between two nearby cars. That car was unable to halt itself in time, and it slammed right into the front

of another car.

With a loud bang, both cars shuddered violently, and Aster shut his eyes in temor.

Larissa’s heartbeat was pounding loo. She was not in the mood to see who was trying to knock them

down, only speeding back to where she had come from and entering the elevator to return to the mall.

She only calmed down when she saw the huge crowds of people.

She did not dare go back down for her car but directly went out through the first floor to hall a cab.

Aster asked her, “Mommy, are we ignoring that man? He was referring to the driver who tried to knock

them down. He was still young and did not realize that the car had been deliberately trying to ram into

them. Larissa would not tell him that either. She said, “He can call an ambulance for himself.”

Aster stopped asking any other questions.

Larissa kept wondering who the hell hated her so much that they wanted to have her killed. Six years

ago, she had broken off relations with everyone here. When she came back, she did not tell anyone

about it.

She did not think that it was related to past grudges or grievances, so she started to list all the number

of rivals or archenemies she had in the industry. Even though they were rivals or archenemies, she had

never actually held any grudges with anyone, so it was unlikely for her to have invited death to come to

claim her life.

When she got home, she reported this incident to headquarters and requested a bodyguard to be

posted to her. Headquarters treated this matter with serious importance-it that person had industrial

motives, and they ignored this, the subsequent consequences may likely get

However, Larissa’s request had to go through a procedure. The bodyguard could not be posted to her

at once. The most that headquarters could do now was to send a car to take her to and from work

Worried that the person may make a move on Aster, Larissa applied for a week’s leave for him as she

planned to keep him with her at all times.

When Larissa went downstairs in the morning, she ran into Dylan, who was driving past their block.

When he saw her and Aster, he stopped to say hello.

“It’s the company’s car.” Larissa opened the backseat door and lifted Aster into it. “We’re leaving.” She

pressed her lips briefly together before getting into the car loc.

The SUV left quickly.

Finding it odd, Dylan kept an eye on things.

A few days later, he noticed that Larissa and Aster always rode that car whenever they left or came

home. Moreover, he also heard from Ella that Larissa had applied for a week’s leave for Aster.

He could not help but ask Kevan, “Did something happen?”
