Chapter 353

“Why don’t we go shopping?” Violet suggested. “It’s spring now, so it’s also time to buy some clothes

according to the changing of the

seasons.”

Larissa wanted to go out too, but shopping-

“Would it be inconvenient for you. seeing as I’m like this?” She looked down at her leg.

“What’s Inconvenient about that?” Violet was unfazed. “Besides, today is Monday. There shouldn’t be

anyone in the malls.”

Larissa thought about it and figured that Violet was right, so she followed her out with ease.

Violet brought Larissa to the most high-end mall in Bartham. The brands established here are all

famous international brands. Few people came to this mail so there were even fewer people during

weekdays. Other than the stall, there were not many patrons there.

Violet was a regular here. A few shop assistants from some high-end brands knew her. The moment

they saw her, they rushed over and treated her as if she were their own mother, hugging her arm and

trading pleasantries at once with smiles on their faces.

“I’m not buying clothes for mysell.” Violet interrupted the assistant’s never-ending recommendations

and pointed at Larissa, who was in her wheelchair. She said. “See if there are any clothes suitable for

my daughter-in-law and let her try them.”

Receiving the “order”, the shop assistant studied Larissa carefully and asked her for her height, weight,

and her favorite style of dress. Then, she took down around ten or more sets of clothes from the rack

and brought her to the fitting room.

Unlike Kevan’s pickiness, Violet complimented Larissa for every single item she tried on. She also

bought everything she tried on later. Seeing the shop assistant’s crinkled smile, Larissa felt a strong

sense of unease. If she was truly the Rogers family daughter-in-law, perhaps she would simply accept

such a luxurious gilt, but she was not. So —

“Mom, don’t spend so much like this,” she murmured to Violet. “I can’t wear them all if you buy

everything.”

“Says who?” Violet took all the bulging bags of clothes into her hands. “Wear a set each day! Change

your clothes for new ones every day. You’re my daughter-in-law, a member of the Rogers family. If you

don’t dress well, you’ll be embarrassing the family!”

Larissa was struck speechless by her.

Later, Violet took her and “raided” a few other shops, buying anything from lingerie to outerwear. She

bought so much that Larissa lost count of how many sets she had now. As there were too many for

them to carry, Violet could only get the shop assistant to have the excess items delivered to Larissa’s

home.

It was finally lunchtime when they were done with shopping.

Violet was the one paying, so she naturally went to the most high-end restaurant in the mall. Their

seats were close to the large floor-to- ceiling window. When Larissa finished ordering, she turned and

caught sight of Ruby, who was passing by the shop comidors with a kitty cage. Who else could be in

that cage but Mu ffin?

Larissa suddenly was a bit panicked. If Violet was not present, she probably would have run after Ruby,

Sensing her oddness, Violet turned and followed her gaze, but she could only catch a vague silhouette

of a person.

“What’s wrong? Violet asked her, “You don’t look so good. Are you okay?”

Larissa did not dare mention Ruby as Kevan had said that Violet did not like her.

“I just saw someone passing by carrying a Ragdoll made me think of M uffin.” Larissa looked down with

a bitter smile.

Violet watched her worriedly before letting out a soli sigh.

‘Let’s order some cakes, alright? You’ll feel better alter eating something sweet. Violet proceeded to

order live to six cakes. Larissa missed Mullin dearly, so she savored all the cakes. Watching her, Violet

was really anxious, but she did not know how else to comfort her.

After lunch, Larissa asked Violet, “Are there any pet shops here? Or places like 17″

either to go to the vet or to have her groomed.

that shop.”

Larissa eagerly began wheeling hersell. “Then let’s check it out!”
