After letting everyone out of the Celestial Abode, James left Cansington alongside Winnie and headed toward
Wyrmstead.
Wyrmstead was not too far away from Sol. With James' speed, they should be able to arrive in a short amount of
time. However, many unknown regions appeared on Earth during the time they were gone. This increased the
distance between Sol and Wyrmstead. Even at his speed, he needed half a day to travel from Cansington to
Wyrmstead.
Many decades had passed, and Dragonville had become even more bustling, with skyscrapers towering over the
sky.
James and Winnie arrived at Dragonville. As James scanned the surrounding skyscrapers and the desolate streets,
he could not help but sigh, "As the Third Calamity has swept through the globe, everyone now stays inside their

"Dad, we should head to the palace first."
"Mhm." James nodded.
The two headed to the palace.
Once, the palace was heavily guarded. Now, however, there was not a single guard by the palace gates, which was
left slightly ajar.
James pushed the gate open and walked in.
Upon entering the palace, he activated his Divine Sense and scanned the entire palace. Through his Divine Sense,
he could sense that a group of guards was gathered inside. As they were cursed, their condition was not great. He
only sensed there was a woman whose life was hanging by a thread lying on the bed in one of the palace’s rooms.
It was Quincy.
Years ago, before James left, she volunteered to remain to help James administer Wyrmstead. Over the years, she
worked tirelessly for the kingdom, devoting all her energy and attention to its development. Even though this was
the Apocalypse Age, Wyrmstead was peaceful and prosperous thanks to her efforts.
"Let's go."
James hurriedly rushed toward the room where Quincy was located.
In the room, Quincy was dressed in a gorgeous white dress, and the skin underneath the dress appeared yellowish.
Her once stunning face also had spots on it. She was struggling to breathe, and every breath she took seemed to
require all her strength.
"Am I going to die?"
Lying on the bed, Quincy shut her eyes.
The curse had swept across the globe, and the entire world had descended into chaos. Every human on Earth was
simply waiting for their impending doom. Though it had only
been two weeks since the curse had begun to spread across the world, half of humanity had perished in the

Quincy knew that she was going to die. However, she did not wish to die just like that. She was waiting for someone
who had yet to return. Just as she closed her eyes and waited for death, she suddenly heard the sound of a door
opening. She struggled to open her eyes and painfully climbed out of bed to see who was coming.
They were a man and a woman.
"James... Thea..."
Upon seeing them, her eyes brimmed with tears.
James walked over to her and glanced at her pale face. Immediately, he took out the Imperial Jade Seal and
absorbed the curse in her body, transferring them to his own.
After Quincy's curse disappeared, her skin regained its radiance and her complexion returned to normal, once
again becoming a stunningly beautiful woman. Over the years, she had become even more gorgeous and beautiful.
"James, Thea, you're back..." Quincy sat on the bed, unable to believe her eyes. She could not believe that James
had returned. Many years had passed, and there had been no news of him. Now, all of a sudden, he was in front of
her.
"Aunt Quincy, I'm Winnie," Winnie said with a smile.
"W-Winnie...?"
