Chapter 525 Dulcie Is Missing!
After returning home to the Winters Estate, Amanda discovered that Aiden
didn’t need her company at all as he was busy imitating his kindergarten
teacher, giving a lesson to Yacob.
She shook her head with a smile, feeling somewhat helpless. Thus, she went to
her bedroom, showered, and finally applied skincare products at the dressing
table. Suddenly, her phone rang again, and it was Elias calling.
Amanda wanted to pretend not to see it, but not only did the phone receive
calls, but it was also bombarded with incessant WhatsApp messages.
Had this man gone crazy during his hospital stay?
Annoyed, she answered the phone. “Elias Winters, are you out of your mind?
Why are you calling so many times and sending so many messages?”
“It’s because you haven’t replied to me.”
She could hear a hint of grievance in his tone, as if he were a neglected
housewife.
“Honey, can you listen to my explanation, please?”
“Explanation for what? What you said were heartfelt words, not lies. What is
there to explain? I should thank you for your honesty, which made me see
myself clearly. I used to think I was the most beautiful in your eyes, but it turns
out you are quite rational. It’s nice to know. I’m relieved.” Amanda’s every word
was dripping with sarcasm. Elias was not a fool and could naturally hear it.
“Amanda, you not the truth.”
will always be the most beautiful in my eyes. What I said was just out of anger,
“Huh… Elias, don’t you find yourself quite insincere? It’s too late to say these
things now! Besides, even if someone is more beautiful than me, what’s wrong
with that? Why can’t you admit the fact?”
Elias fell silent on the other end of the phone because he realized that whatever

She asked impatiently, “Do you have anything else to say? If not, I’m hanging
up. I want to sleep. I’m tired.”
“What about Aiden? I want to talk to Aiden.”
“Aiden is busy playing with Yacob. He doesn’t have time for you.”
The speechless Elias felt abandoned by this mother-son duo. He then asked, “I’ll be
discharged from the hospital tomorrow. Will you come pick me up?”
“I’m busy. Yacob can pick you up.”
“What are you busy with? Why don’t you have time? Your husband is getting discharged,
and why don’t you care at all?” Elias was nearly losing his temper. Amanda would retort
not matter what he said, making him extremely frustrated.
Amanda sneered, “Care? Do you need me to care? Didn’t a beauty send you to the
hospital? Let her pick you up from there as well. That’s how it should be, isn’t it?”
“Amanda!”
“People in the hospital shouldn’t get angry; it affects their recovery. I have nothing more
to say. I’m going to sleep now.” With that, she hung up the phone directly, not giving him.
any chance to vent.
She looked at the screen of her phone and imagined that Elias must be seething with
anger at the hospital right now. Well, let him be angry, that sc*mbag.
At Galaxy Bay, Symeon sat by the bed, holding an open children’s fairy tale book, and
awkwardly started reading the stories from it.
Dulcie obediently lay on the bed, staring at the man before her for a long time before
whispering, “Daddy, you don’t read as nicely as Miss Amanda.”
At that, Symeon stopped. He was not good at this, and of course, he couldn’t read as
nicely as
Amanda.
He didn’t even particularly like children much, finding them noisy and annoying.
“Do you still want me to continue reading?” he asked.
“Yes; otherwise, I can’t fall asleep.” Despite being genuinely afraid of her daddy, Dulcie
couldn’t sleep without hearing a story.
So, Symeon continued to narrate the romantic and beautiful fairy tales with his deep
voice. He didn’t know how long he had been reading, but eventually, he heard Dulcie’s
steady breathing.
He put down the storybook in his hand, tucked her in, and then left the room.
Just as he exited the room, the bodyguard approached him, “My master, what should we
do about Miss Casey? She refuses to acknowledge that she gave birth to a child, let alone
knowing you. It’s like she has amnesia.”
“However, according to the DNA test, she is Dulcie’s biological mother, and I am Dulcie’s.
biological father. She can’t escape that fact,” Symeon said with narrowed eyes. “This
woman is truly undeserving of being Dulcie’s mother. But she is, and what I don’t
understand is why she initially provoked me, gave birth to my child, and then abandoned
her. Did she do all of this just to get back at me?”
The bodyguard suggested, “Should I investigate Miss Casey’s experiences over the past
four years? Maybe she had an accident that caused her amnesia?”
“I’m not interested in any of that. Since she doesn’t want to admit it, I don’t want to force
her. Dulcie doesn’t need a heartless and unfeeling mother like her,” Symeon declared
firmly.
“Then…”
“Tomorrow, go and handle Dulcie’s enrollment procedures to let her attend kindergarten.”
“Yes.”
Symeon added, “The market in Cludan isn’t as easy to develop. I need to make a big
move, so you take good care of Dulcie. I don’t have much time to look after her.”
“Understood, my master.”
The next day, since the enrollment procedures would take at least two or three
days, Symeon could only bring the little one to the company today.
Dulcie didn’t want to stay home, let alone stay with the nanny.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSymeon locked her in his office and instructed her, “Stay here and don’t go out.
If you need something, just tell the secretary outside. You can play with the
toys here, but you must not touch anything on my desk, understand?”
She nodded obediently, “Understood.”
He reached out and patted her soft, furry head. “Good girl.”
After he left, Dulcie played in the office for about an hour but soon grew bored.
So, she ended up lying on the sofa and taking a short nap.
Today’s meeting was longer than usual, so Symeon wouldn’t return for another
two hours.
After waking up, Dulcie felt the need to use the restroom, so she opened the
office door and went to find the secretary.
However, she found that the secretary was not in the office area, and she
wandered through. the company.
As she passed by an employee, she asked sweetly, “Sir, where’s the restroom?”
“It’s over there,” the employee replied, thinking someone had brought a child
to work but didn’t inquire further.
After using the restroom, Dulcie got lost again and forgot where her daddy’s
office was located.
As a little child, she wandered around until she stumbled upon an open elevator
door. Without hesitation, she stepped inside and pressed a random floor button,
intending to exit the elevator and search for her daddy.
Eventually, when Dulcie exited the office building, the security guard noticed
her peculiar behavior, but he didn’t pay much attention.
When Symeon had brought her to the company, they had entered directly from
the underground parking lot, so the receptionist and security guard were
unaware of Symeon’s connection to Dulcie.
Outside the office building, Dulcie gazed at the bustling street in front of her,
feeling utterly confused. Overwhelmed with fear, she had the urge to burst into
tears.
