Chapter 1120

As Susan finished her taunt, she beckoned a caddy over with a casual wave. “Bring me the best club

you’ve got here.”

The caddy nodded and quickly returned with the requested equipment.

Club in hand, Susan shot a challenging glare at Thalassa, who responded with a slight, amused smile,

remaining silent.

“Susan, we all believe in you!” Lucy pumped her fist energetically in Susan’s direction, making a

cheering gesture. After her show of support, she nudged Bruce’s arm, urging him to show some spirit.

Bruce gave a small nod, choosing to stay quiet. Caught between a rock and a hard place-his loyalty

split between the daughter who’d grown up by his side and the one he’d publicly acknowledged-it

wasn’t clear whom he should support. He decided it was best to lay low.

When Lucy had boldly declared in front of Thalassa and Lysander that Thalassa was his illegitimate

daughter born outside of marriage, neither had objected.

This confirmation led Bruce to believe that Thalassa hadn’t revealed to Lysander that she wasn’t his

biological daughter. In Lysander’s eyes, Thalassa was still his child!

Could this be the reason why Lysander ordered the arrest of Elliott and the manager of Crest Summit

Hotel but spared him?

Bruce learned that Elliott had confessed to Lysander about his involvement in Thalassa’s kidnapping.

Knowing he had been part of the plot against Thalassa and yet Lysander hadn’t sent anyone to arrest

him had Bruce on edge, fearing the police might come for him at any moment. Yet, days passed

without incident.

He had been puzzled, but now he thought he understood the reason.

Lysander, out of consideration for Thalassa, had refrained from having him arrested. Thalassa, likely

believing her mother’s video was still on his phone, hadn’t dared make a move or tell Lysander the

truth.

After all, the safety of her mother’s video was tied to his own. If anything happened to him, the video

would be exposed in a desperate act of self-preservation.

Susan stepped onto the green, assumed a poised stance, and with a style all her own, took a few

practice swings before striking the ball. It flew across the sky, tracing a graceful arc before landing on

the turf.

The ball didn’t make it into the hole, stopping just a meter away-an impressive feat for someone who

had swung just once. Most people required several attempts to sink the ball.

Chapter 1120

Wasn’t Thalassa the one who said it was all about distance?

With that shot, Susan felt certain she could beat Thalassa.

Once she had finished, Susan turned towards Thalassa with a smug grin. “Your turn.”

As Thalassa approached, she simply said, “Pass me the club.”

Susan instantly swung the club behind her back, scoffing, “This is my personal club, stored here for my

use. If you need one, use one of the standard clubs. After all, this is my private property.”

Why would she give Thalassa any advantage with her superior equipment?

Ethan watched their rivalry with amusement, chuckling to Lysander, “These sisters are quite the

spectacle.”

Lysander’s deep, icy gaze flickered towards him.

Ethan promptly zipped his lips and busied himself with a glass of juice, deciding it was better to stay

quiet.

Thalassa rolled her eyes at Susan, strolled up to the tee, and picked up a standard club from the

ground. Holding the club awkwardly, she fumbled with her grip several times before finding the right

hold.

“Ha, doesn’t even know how to hold a club and she’s bragging about winning,” Susan jeered from a

distance.

“Thalassa, seems like your so-called ‘coach’ isn’t much of an expert. Probably just a hustler,” Susan

added, her voice dripping with scorn.

Thalassa ignored her, continuing to adjust her stance.

Suddenly, a pair of strong hands enveloped hers, their calloused warmth contrasting with. Thalassa’s

delicate skin. Her heart skipped a beat.

Without turning around, she felt the solid strength of a muscular chest press against her back, a

powerful aura enclosing her in an impenetrable shield.
