Thalassa quickly composed herself and adopted a professional demeanor. She put aside all personal issues with Charlotte and focused on the task at hand.

Her smile remained as she confidently responded. “You’re correct. I dropped out of college after my sophomore year and don’t have a degree. However, my work ability is outstanding. The Crawley Group is only the second company where I’ve held a secretarial position, the first being the Sinclair Group. The industry values ability first and foremost, and credentials come second. A degree is just a piece of paper. There are many people who have degrees but lack practical skills. Wouldn’t you agree, Ms. Ravensong?”
